Seems like a decent little safe. Its fire & water resistant, so thats a plus, although I don't really have to worry about it getting flooded due to my location, but you never know about fire... It has a slot on the back of the door that is perfect for holding vehicle titles and folded papers. It comes with a shelf that slides in and out but it is pretty flimsy, I wouldn't put much weight on it, a pound or two at the most. It also has a sliding drawer that I put on the very top, it catches a little bit due to the tight fit, but its not that bad at all. The handle on the front has some play in it, but I dont think its anything to worry about, you get what you pay for. I paid $200 for this safe and was not disappointed, well worth it if it can protect your belongings from thieves and fire and flooding, hope I never have to find out how good it actually is tho...

Craftsmanship is excellent, I have had this for about 5 years or so, still functions as the day I bought it.

I hope I never test the fire proofness of this safe, but that was a prime motivation - to protect some material. This is a heavy beast, and if that isn't enough, then just bolt it to the floor. How safe is a safe? That's the ultimate question I guess - and I've watched numerous videos for this brand and that of many others. They can be broken into, but it will take a bit of time, and hopefully it will first discourage anyone that comes face to face with it. I intentionally chose this model which is mechanical - because I hate finding leaky batteries in something expensive that I haven't touched in 6 months or 2 years. The mechanism is easy to operate and feels secure. They have a number of sizes from much smaller to much larger, and I appreciated being able to pick a safe by the storage capacity. The online pictures show you what you need to know - so I didn't include any from my installation. The combination was a challenge to remember, but finally I did, and I appreciate that it is designed

The other reviews here seem to pan this product because it's not got a digital lock, because the product isn't as pictured, or both. I ordered this late on Thursday and it arrived this morning (FedEx on a Saturday, free with Prime!!) - and what I got is a mechanical combination lock safe exactly as pictured. The safe itself is solid and well-constructed, but the lock mechanism appears to be pot metal and some sort of plastic composite. This safe is sufficient for the purposes for which we purchased it: to keep our kids' paws off our stuff and to protect our important papers in the case of a fire. If you're looking for something that's super secure, this probably isn't the safe for you. When we received the safe, the lock was open, which as it turns out was extremely exceptionally fortunate, because there was no trace of the combination ANYWHERE. This takes my rating from 5 stars to 4 (and if I hadn't found resolution on my own, would have knocked it down to a 3). Sentry Safe supposedly keeps a list of serial numbers and factory combinations and could presumably have provided it to us - but their customer service group is closed on Saturdays. No customer service on Saturday knocks my rating down to 3 stars. A quick look at YouTube quickly revealed that the inside door panel is quickly and easily removed, no screws, only snap-in tabs - all you need is a key or butter knife to remove it. The panel removed, it quickly becomes very easy with a flashlight to see the tumbler slots swing into position and then get the number by looking at the dial. On a side note while the inside door panel is off, and in spite of what the Sentry web site and other reviews here might say, it's also easy to remove the retaining clip on the lock center pin, pull the tumblers, and then put them back on as you want. That is, it's easy to change the combination. This, in spite of the lack of documentation, brings what would have otherwise been a 3-star rating back up to a 4.

I specifically bought this safe with the manual dial combination because they are more secure than the equivalent SentrySafe model with the digital keypads. The entire locking mechanism in this safe is manual which means it shouldn't be able to be defeated with magnets like some keypad safes can, if you know where to use the magnet. The dial is very smooth, and the handle opens and closes securely. Other reviews on here mention the dial and/or handle not working freely as it should, and I think that is just because you have to make sure you turn the handle fully into the locked position as you are locking the safe. If you are in a hurry or not paying attention, it would be easy to leave the handle in what I would call an "almost locked" position, you have to push it firmly up into its locked position to ensure it continues to work properly. The safe does not come with bolt-down hardware, so I picked up my own bolts from the hardware store to secure this to a concrete floor. Getting the holes drilled in the bottom feet of the safe was easy. The manual for the safe does say that installing a bolt-down kit would void the water protection (but not the fire protection) guarantee, but I am OK with that because the safe is not in a location where water should not be coming up through the bottom.

Totally love this safe easy to see number. Really water proof it’s been tested by an accident. This will last for years to come. The size is a perfect fit.

Junk box arrived damaged Lost the combination card but had no problem defeating the lock and Im nothing close to a locksmith. Its basically an easy bake oven for everything you put in it. YouTube has vids on these safes. Might go look before buying this sham box

The safe is a perfect size. Heavy and smooth enough that thieves can’t just carry it away. Rotary lock is great as it doesn’t need batteries, big bonus.

La caja funciona bien, pero llegó abollada de varios lados. Cuando compras pagas por algo que está NUEVO y buenas condiciones, no por algo golpeado y abollado 👎🏼 Deberían ponerle un aviso de FRÁGIL en el embalaje para evitar el mal manejo en paquetería.
