Meh...It works
I use to own the original Rockman back in the 80s. This is nothing like the original. My son bought me this for Father's Day. It has 2 settings, clean and distortion. The clean is very crisp. The distortion is lame at best. The distortion sounds like something from the 60s. This product is very basic. There is no chorus or reverb. But, the cheap headphones work. It allows you to practice without an amp. There is no electrical/AC adaptor so you must buy that separately. It runs on 9-volt battery as well so you can take it anywhere. Overall, it does what it says it will do, but don't expect amazing sound effects. There is an annoying buzz in the background which gets worse on the distortion mode. Not excited about having to be tethered to the Rockman with headphones. You would think in this day and age they could add bluetooth to this. My first impression when I took it out of the box was "CHEAP"ly made. In conclusion, this is a no frills very basic product that allows you to practice guitar with headphones. Is it worth the money? I guess that is a judgement call, but I would not re-purchase this product.
