a beautiful, easy to make item
This was so much easier to make than I expected - I have marveled at the design and hand work of these pine needle baskets in museums, at arts & crafts shows - never ever did I expect it to be as easy to make as they actually are! I got this kit, made it up (hardest part is the starting knots in the waxed linen thread) and was enthralled with the process of bundling, binding, coiling and building the basket. Being in the Pacific NW at the time, long needle pines were everywhere and shedding their needles constantly so I was able to make more than the one basket after learning with the kit... these made wonderful holiday gifts for family and friends.

So glad I purchased this book of instructions on pine-needle basketry.
I’m just starting my journey to learn pine-needle basketry. Bought a kit, but instructions were unclear. Referred to this book to solve my questions. Instructions are excellent, helpful photos, precise illustrations, and so much more. Highly recommend for a beginner like myself!

Short on pine needles to complete bowl
Did not come with enough rafita or pine needles to complete the basket. I had to purchase more needles. Enjoying the craft.

Great kit
This was a fun project while i was laid up for a bit. Fairly simple for a beginner and even with my beginner mistakes, a nice looking end product
