Brilliant product does a sound job.
I really like this product. I use my voice professionally, and while working from home I've been trying various microphones and using old blankets as acoustic shielding. Rubbish! But no more! I've got the tonor microphone isolation shield teamed up with an old AKG microphone and it works like a blinder. The shield itself feels solid and professionally built. The acoustic foam certainly prevents echo and if you tweak your sound inputs you can get it just the way you like it. Obviously if you try to set up in a bathroom it's going to still sound boxy. But mine is tucked away in the corner of a living room, plenty of soft surfaces to absorb sound. But here's the thing about this shield. It is not too heavy. In fact, I have it mounted on a good strong scissor arm stand which is clamped to my (admittedly quite heavy) bookshelf. It works a treat, I simply rotate the arm into a semi-fold position, close the screen a little (it folds inward, around the mic) and there you are . I should also add that it is not difficult to assemble, there's a bracket and various screw threads to help you, honestly it took me 10 minutes to put together on my scissor arm. Sound quality? I have a *very* good set of headphones and have listened to playback and while it's obviously not as completely 'dead' as it would be in a proper studio, it is certainly good enough for most broadcast/voice over purposes. Practice a bit of mic technique, and don't get your mouth too far away or your voice will "throw" all over the place. Team it up with a good pop screen, too. Thoroughly recommended. I'm a happy bunny. Please note: I am not connected to the seller in any way, nor has the seller asked me to review this item, or offered me any inducement to do so. I paid full price for this item.

Great for the price
The media could not be loaded. For the price it works as expected. It fits on my boom arm and big enough for my needs. If you are a beginner and looking for a quick sound shield this is a good option.Installation instructions were also clear and easy to follow.Build quality looks good, it's mostly metal and foam.

Fits my Blue Yeti perfectly, and provides shelter from echo's in a small living room
It does exactly as required.Living in a flat, and having my equipment in my living room, in the corner, inches away from two walls, I needed some magic to protect against echos. It was either this or sticking "foam" to the walls, which may cause damage. The shield is attached to a TONOR microphone arm, with a Blue Yeti microphone mounted in front. The photograph shows that I mounted the Blue Yeti different to how the instructions suggest, with the black "rod" screwed in, further than. The reason is to ensure the Microphone head is covered, by the shield. And it works and fits, and feels very secure.I have no concerns, the TONOR arm, can't hold the weight either.

Worked well for Zoom use.
In the recent CV19 hassles family members have been holding regular quizzes etc. Most of my computer related equipment is good but old and the howling cooling fans tended to make using built in mics useless. After using a studio set up of hanging condenser mics from a boom for a laptop, I moved on to my old office desktop with an excellent speaker system but no camera or microphone. In the end I ended up using my Audio Tehnica 2035 microphone on a Samson SAMD5 stand with this closely enclosing all but an aperture at the front. Running this through a Scarlett 2i4 produced an excellent clear voice. The problem of it being visible dissapeared when using the Zoom background feature in the pseudo green screen mode as it blanks out anything that doesn't move wherever it is, so my Paris cafe background hid it even though in non-background mode it was a large ugly blob slightly to my left front. A nice simple solution with lots of potential for other set ups.

Poor quality item
Very poor item. Bought in February 2025 and only used half a dozen times. The mounting screw weld has separated from the metal casing. See photographs.

Works well but has a design flaw
I used this with a new Rode condensor mic and it worked really well. I could definitely tell the difference in the sound quality despite its small size and initially l was very happy with it.However, it was difficult to fix to my mic stand, simply because it was missing a large washer. And then one day, without warning, the shield fell off the bracket, without me even knocking it.On close inspection, the only thing connecting the shield to the bracket was a small rivet, which had pulled through the hole.I could have drilled the rivet out and replaced it with a nut and bolt and it probably would have been fine, but l decided to send it back for a refund.

Improves your audio recordings
Its amazing how something so small and simple can improve your recordings. I was looking for a way to limit the reverb of my voice when I do home recordings and this just does the trick. It takes you just a minute to mount on your mic stand - its that easy and quick. A bit smaller than expected but it covers an area that is large enough to do its job.It feels really sturdy and well built.Im happy with this purchase
