I don't know how this thing operates, but it has to be storm wind to make it spin 360 degrees around its axes, as mine doesn't spin on wind, right out of the box. Also these guys didn't bother packing it properly, no foam nuggets or plastic air bubbles.. maybe it's part of the reason this thing doesn't spin, also i will upload a picture as one of the metal arms came out of the box bent.. I didn't bother drilling it on the boat, just used some temporary solution to tape it down..even though I'm very believing guy I don't think this thing would work properly without spinning

Seems to work but I expected it to rotate better.

This sweep is basically the same unit I used on my workboat to keep the gulls off the cabin and deck. Now I am using it to chase the chickens away from the AC unit and back Poarch steps. As long as you have wind it will spin and chase the birds away.

I bought one I bought one my neighbor bought two all three of them plastic broke and they won't stay in place the design is fantastic but I think if it was made out of a little bit dirty or plastic it might be better I'm going to have to either rebuild it out of metal or stronger plastic great design too flimsy. In order for the prom in order for the product to actually spin the little red flags need to remain within their gated area Stead play cracked and flipped around the little gated area and now they both are pushing against each other and won't spin. Easier to show them easier to show it then it is to put it in words

There is something wrong with the mechanism where it won’t spin. Poor QA on item. This is the second bird be gone product I have purchased both with problems that made them unusable.

Does what it was designed for very well. Seems cheaply made but they last a long time on my boat.
