Attached to Springfield Prodigy. Awesome, long battery life so far.

This is a great, wide-angle site. Multiple site modes to choose from, automatically adjusts to surrounding light, easy to use. A little more expensive than some others I looked at but worth the extra! It fit my Doctor adaptor and also came with a Picatinny mount.

laser adjustment went out the second range session. Stiff awaiting refund. Purchased Trijicon RMR from same seller. Works great.

I put this optic on a Springfield Prodigy DS 1911. I like it a lot, but the protective hood/shade does not fit the Prodigy. I had to custom cut the rear of the hood and remove the clear lens in the rear to fit around the rear iron sight. Now it is more of a sunshade than protective cover - that's ok because that's what I needed.The brightest setting on the Fastfire 4 is super bright, almost blinding when your eyes are adjusted for indoor lighting. On the high setting, this red dot image is very visible on white targets in the brightest sun.The rear of the Fastfire 4 is a bit high for the Prodigy, but it can still be co-witnessed. The rig can be shot with iron sights (red dot off), but only the top of the front sight sight & top half of the green fiber optic is visible. The sight is parallax free so the red dot does not need to be in the center of the lens or co-witnessed with the irons to be on target.I tried two Vortex Viper VRD-6 sights. Both had serious problems. I love Vortex rifle scopes, but my personal experience with the VDR-6 was disappointing. Returned one for a refund, sent the second one back to Vortex.Final note: Eurooptic shipped what appears to be a return or refurb. The battery cover was marred, the screwdriver blade was twisted, the battery was loose in the box, the bag covering the sight was torn. I would have returned it but I wanted to use it in a shoot 2 days later. The sight was in good condition and worked just fine. I contacted Burris and they happily will send replacements for the screw driver and battery cover, but buyer beware of Eurooptic.

I tried another brand somewhat less expensive. Tactile feedbback o button operation was wretched. In the end I had to return it because one couldn't swing the dot far enough left to achieve anything close to "0". Nice exercise but useless product. Bought the Burris unit because they have a history of success. A bit more expensive but it WORKED!. Arrived on time, controls worked well and the design was excellent. I have the Burris FF3 and very satisfied with it… So I wanted to see how the new FastFire 4 would measure up..?? I was so impressed by the newer features , I ended up buying 2…!! Loving the multi- Reticle choices…

The Burris fast fire 3 & 4 have the same mounting footprint. The FF 4 I purchased mounts directly to the FN five.seveN slide allowing cowitness with the factory sights.
