Meross Smart Light Switch Supports Apple Homekit, Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant & SmartThings, 2.4Ghz WiFi Light Switch, Neutral Wire Required, Single Pole, Remote Control Schedule, 2 Pack

I installed a handful of these a few weeks ago and they've been operating flawlessly ever since. They integrated right into my Homekit ecosystem from the Homekit app and I have them in several automations. Installation was easy since I have the required neutral wire in all my gang boxes. There's no way around it, but it can be challenging to fit these into crowded gang boxes if there are already a lot of other connections inside. Since all my switches are white decorator style, these fit right in and I didn't need to use the included switch plates. I like that the mounting "ears" on these switches are large so they seat up against the wall with lots of surface area (great if your drywall is a little sloppy around the gang box). The mounting ears are plastic but thick enough to be strong but thin enough to not interfere with the switch plate. Another feature I like is the ability to set the indicator LED to be on or off whether the switch is on or off. I have some connected to floodlights outside, and it's convenient to be able to see whether they were left on, but I guess those days are over now that I can create an automation to turn them off at sunrise automatically. I'll be buying more of these.

I bought two of these and installed them. Same level of effort as installing a simple wall light switch, so no different if you know what you're doing. Obviously follow all the safety precautions, turn off the fuses etc. I bought this model because it connects with Apple HomeKit. They also have their own Meross app that is easy to use. Setup was straightforward, no issues whatsoever and I didn't have to disable the 5GHz WiFi or anything like that, it just connected right away. Here's why I love this device. I set up an automation in Apple HomeKit to turn on my outside lamp posts and floodlights (yes LED and energy efficient) at 15 minutes after sundown each day. Then I set up a Turn off time as well. It works flawlessly. So basically, for the price of an inexpensive wall switch timer, you get this little smart device that can do all of what the timer does, plus you also get all the other smart switch benefits. You're going to bed? From your bedroom just say "Hey Siri, turn off the outside lights." You're wondering if you left the basement lights on? Just look at your phone. I love it, and I will definitely buy a few more!

Bought a number of these switches for use in my HomeKit setup. Installation was easy (am a handyman type so not a problem), connecting to HomeKit went fine with no issues. Have had one hardware failure after about six months (out of 8 total switches) - manual button press stopped working. EXCELLENT customer service email reply and warranty replacement in less than a week! I highly recommend these if you have HomeKit; fantastic devices and top notch customer support to back them up.

This is my 4th purchase. The button press and feel are top notch. I’ve tried the other smart switches and they don’t feel as nice as this one does when you press down on it. The only reason I’m knocking this down a star is because it takes a while for it to get setup with Apple Home kit. Sometimes the device does not register or recognize when I enter in the HomeKit code. I love how there is a green light to let you know that the power is on. It’s very helpful when you have multiple lights on in the kitchen and aren’t sure which switch is connected to what light. I replaced my old light switch with this one.

Easy to install and easy to link to HomeKit

HOLD ON TO YOUR OLD SWITCHES! We replaced about 2 dozen switches in our house - making ours a truly smart home! Install was relatively simple, connected to HomeKit easily and things worked well for a 2-3 of weeks. They were very responsive to HomeKit and turned on/off quickly with our voice or the HomeKit app. We were SUPER HAPPY!!! Then EVERYTHING stopped working with HomeKit and a couple hours later they came back online. This has happened several times since then - just really WIERD OUTAGES THAT EFFECT ALL LIGHTS AT THE SAME TIME. Our internet is solid/didn’t stop working (Google Fiber) so our best guess is the “backend Meross network” that the switches require to operate goes offline periodically. It was mostly annoying to not have them respond on HomeKit — but they still worked as light switches and was workable. Then about 3 weeks later THE FIRST SWITCH FAILED — but one out of 22…no big deal right? A couple of weeks later ANOTHER SWITCH FAILED…then a week later ANOTHER FAILED…and less than 12 hours later YET ANOTHER FAILED! At this rate I’m not sure how many will be working in another month. It is interesting that they are starting to fail AFTER the Amazon return period. The biggest problem is when they fail, there isn’t a way to use the lights anymore. Meross tech support takes about 2-3 days to respond and has not been particularly helpful. Meantime we have ordered regular flip switches as because waiting almost a week for replacements is just not working for us — after all we still need to be able to use the lights in our house! While we have several replacements coming and our fingers are crossed maybe we had a rash of bad ones and the others will be fine. I will update

These Merros switches really work great

I've purchased a dozen of these switches, a plus a three way switch, two garage door openers, and several smart plugs. One switch in this twin pack replaced a failed earlier version from more than six years ago. Several improvements, including a reboot button that makes it much easier to re-connect to WiFi when the connection is lost. One complaint, though: The LED on the current version has three modes, not mentioned in the manual. Default is power indicator, lighting up when the switch is on rather than "Night Light" on previous versions. But Jamie in customer service quickly gave me the solution when I emailed about the issue and I was able to change the setting. That response is what made this a five star review!

I have just installed 1 single poll. I have multiple smart home things ranging from cameras, locks, baby cams, all from expensive known brands and this is the only one that actually works with HomeKit! A Proper smart switch that is compatible with all the devices. MUCH better than most well known brands that claim to work with apple but do not support homekit! and have to use individual app for each device The instructions are good except there was no mention of what to do with ground wire (of course attach it to the metal box). It came with everything to install properly even the little cap to twist wires into. (you put the two wires you want to attach together and put in the little cap and twist it). Had a little trouble linking meross app because I have remote garage control that works with ehome life i think Alexa has them mixed (they are the same/does not matter which app you use).

I can say that the install, both wiring/practical and adding to HomeKit was great. My wiring was odd (even though new build) but for the Meross part it was straightforward - most homeowners should be able to do this without problems. Good instructions, faceplate, screws and marrettes (twist cap wire connectors) included which was a nice touch. I installed into an existing 4 switch gang with press on plate - the Meross units are just slightly thicker with the plastic (which felt good quality) than the flat metal of the Leviton switches but the mounting plate did fit. All in all, I am happy with the fit and how it appears. The phosphorescent dots work as expected and the led indicators are good for indicating if switch is going, or an error, but not obtrusive with brightness. Adding to HomeKit with the code was easily done via Apple Home app - Meross app not needed (kudos to Apple on making the proximity feature/codes work well). No hub required and connected to my Eero mesh network - no errors or issues. Quick and responsive. Whether it’s Meross or Apple’s stringent HomeKit compliance criteria, I trusted I would have a good experience putting these in and I did. 2-pack single pole is a fantastic bug for the price IMHO. I bought two 2-packs and two 3-way switches (still need to install). Highly recommend.
