Great condition - good content
Even though 10th edition is coming out in the summer 2023, this book is a must.Even if the rules of 9th edition won’t work for you anymore, the number of pictures, and the amount of lore contained in this book make it worth it to have it.Mine arrived in great condition, new, no ripped pages or bent corners. Definitely recommend.

D&D head finally picked up Warhammer this game book is the highest quality game book Ive ever held
Played D&D since 85, never got into 40k or Warhammer, too rich for my blood, too expensive, but I always saw the guys playing it and admired the terrain and the skill of the mini painters. After playing Gaslands for months and hanging out at the FLGS I was like I need to adapt to what others are playing or I soon wont have an IRL game on Saturdays since I probably gaslands needs a little break and I wont play anymore 5th ed D&D and Im not that interested in continuing with what wizards is putting out. After internet gaming of covid I need IRL gaming. And I really enjoyed painting up little cars while playing Gaslands (btw, every true gamer should be playing that game). Even though I didn't play this venerable game til now, reading this book reminds me of the feelings of yesteryear reading WEG Star Wars core book in that is extremely evocative and so cool. It draws you in on merit! The Paintings are amazing the lore is So incredibly deep (this cant be understated), the photos of the minis make me want to play and I spent all day gluing my fingers together and assembling a combat patrol and hoping I am making the right decisions about my first army. The game itself? I'm reading it, I hope I retain some of it going to have to just dive in at some point. The photos of the minis are incredible. I always thought this game was just a surrender to the powergaming munchkin impulse, basically the opposite of what I think I love about rpgs. But you know what? thats a little true, but actually thats not just totally fine its totally cool and I am glad I got this book its a high quality experience that I am highly appreciating. yes some of this is too expensive but its something that brings joy. And I am glad I get to poke around on this side of the hobby. I can't wait to battle my bros at the game store. probably should have started with Kill Team but whatever. 40k is dope.

Book came in exactly as advertised
The book came in in good condition. Not much to say about that, it's the 9th edition rule book.In terms of the book itself, it's similar to the 8th edition rule book but with new Crusade Mechanics and new rules. I haven't read the Crusade stuff and it seems like a lot of book keeping. The new rules are a modified version of the 8th rules, with a lot of stuff made clear. They even made a great step forward by writing very long specific rules, while leaving shortened bullet points summaries at the bottom, the former being great if you're trying to rules lawyer and it's absolutely clear, and the latter for if you're just trying to figure out what the rules are.My only complaint is that the format is very dated. Why, in 2020, we're paying 60$ just to get the rulebook for a tabletop game is beyond me. This made sense in 1987 to the mid 2010's, but now it's just GW taking as much cash as they can because people will still pay for it. This comes as Table Top Simulator in Steam is becoming more popular especially due to COVID, and as things like Battlescribe and Wahapedia are posting the rules online for free (the datasets for the rules are stored on Russian servers, where GW is unlikely to get a legal takedown). Don't get me wrong, it's still a fun hobby and a great community which makes it worth it, but I think this format is too dated.

Great Starting Point
It arrived on time and in perfect condition. I wasn’t sure this was a necessary buy for someone just starting in 40K, but it’s a great central starting piece for my collection. Great artwork.

Great book, kinda scattered.
I love the 9th Edition 40k rulebook. Are the rules a little bloated? Sure. Do you have to supplement this with like five other books? Only if you wanna win. Are some rules inexplicably scattered around 3 different sections of the book, for no apparent reason? Absolutely. On the other hand, this book is flipping beautiful. The all-new art is amazing. It's packed with lore, or "fluff", and is a great introductory experience for anyone who wants to learn more about 40k, whether they play the wargame or not. It's only about 20% rules anyway. There are also things I really appreciate about the rules component. The rules are generally easy to understand, and everything is explained in detail, but also represented as quick-and-dirty bullet points, so it's really easy to skim and find what you were looking for.
