We brought this game out at a recent game night, and let’s just say, alliances were formed, friendships were tested, and someone may have mooed so hard they snorted. Gameplay The concept is simple: be a sheep. No, really. The goal is to match your answer with the majority of the herd. If the question is, “What’s the best pizza topping?” and you dare to say anchovies while everyone else writes pepperoni, congratulations—you’re now the proud owner of the Pink Cow card. And trust me, you do not want that card. Highlights Watching someone go on a passionate tirade because they think “pineapple” is the obvious answer to "best pizza topping." Realizing how weirdly specific your friends’ thought processes are. (“What’s the best way to spend a Saturday?” Apparently, not everyone agrees that “Netflix and naps” is the universal truth.) The Pink Cow card becoming a badge of shame that people will fight tooth and hoof to avoid. Pros Quick to learn, so even your most distracted friends will get it. Perfect for all ages—just don’t play with that one edgy cousin who insists on writing inappropriate answers. Endless opportunities to roast each other’s logic—or lack thereof. Cons If you’re a contrarian who loves being different, prepare to lose. A lot. Someone will inevitably get salty when their answer is the only outlier. (“HOW is ‘watermelon’ not the best fruit?!”) Final Thoughts Herd Mentality is the perfect mix of lighthearted fun and chaotic debate. It’s easy to play, impossible to predict, and guarantees laughs every single time. Just remember, in this game, being basic is a virtue. Funny and great game for all to play. We bought this for friends who raise cows. They had a ball with it and played it for New Years Eve. It was a big hit.

Serious board gamer here who was looking for something very simple to play with kids or non gamers. This looked like fun so I bought it and was not disappointed. Game explanation takes 30 seconds and set up is fast so it hits the table quickly. I played with my teenagers who like complicated board games and even they liked it. Great for as young as 8 easily. Plays well with 4 people and larger groups are even more fun. A couple of nitpicky points. The black on the box is fuzzy so it collects dust really quickly and is impossible to clean. Also the box has a lot of empty space in it. If it was packaged more compact it would be more easily portable. You should buy this game. Got for literally everyone. Grandparents, kids, drinking buddies, adult friends, coworkers…Literally everyone will like this.

Overall, fun game, would recommend. There are not enough cards in the box to play this very many times, especially if you need to skip some cards that younger players wouldn't be able to answer, like "Name the best character on Friends." So if you find that really like the game you're either going to have to make your own cards or provide variations on the fly for existing cards. For example, "What's the best Tom Hanks film?" could be switched to another actor that the group probably knows, or "Most disgusting food that begins with P?" can be changed to another letter. The game should include 2-3 times as many printed cards, and/or each card should have a few options to choose from. It's not going to be hard to come up with new cards on your own, but the publisher should have put a bit more effort here. Second, winning the foam cow (which prevents you from winning even if you otherwise have enough points) doesn't happen often enough. There should be a second mechanic that wins you the cow. Maybe "player has the worst possible answer to that question and should be ashamed of even thinking of it, much less writing it down."

They really put a lot of effort into the look and quality of this game. First night we ended up playing for 6 hours. No joke! The box has felt for the cow spots. Nice touch!! I would gift this for anyone. So easy to play. We did end up throwing the cow at each other ( you don’t want the cow) and laughing and a little bit of arguing. Highly recommend. Price is great for the quality and love how much fun we had. Can’t wait to play again!!

I have two middle school granddaughters and they love this game. So much fun to play.

It's the first time my family met his family so I wanted to buy a fun game all could enjoy. I find Herd Mentality and give it a try. Everyone loved it! Young and old. It was easy to learn there are tons of questions (we didn't even make it the second pack of questions). The pink cow was a hit and we poked fun of people who called it a pig. There was enough materials for 9 people to play. We had a great time with this game I highly recommend it!!!

This is a fun game for a big group. The real reason I purchased the game is for ice-breakers, at large meetings. They game gives plenty of opportunities to start conversations, and warms up the room for more serious subjects.

The cards were wrapped neatly with a band instead of the original plastic so although the game was likely used, everything was in good quality and seemed like new.
