Greenforce G21086 Green Force Lawn Feed Weed Moss Killer 400m2 Fertilizer, Grey, 30.0 cm*21.0 cm*11.0 cm

I work in the turf grass industry and I was a little skeptical of using this. With a weed infested small back garden, of around 150m², I decided to give this a go and see how it went. Some people were sharing photos of dead lawns, which would've been the result of either not knowing how to spread the product correctly, or not knowing what exactly the composition of their lawn was. I used a Scott's spreader and could see the next day that the iron was taking care of the moss, the day after that the daisy, dandelion and clover were all taking a hit. I've left it 5 days now, and the weeds are well on their way to being dead. The feed is kicking in now, and along with the iron, the lawn is a deep rich green already. Please, do not chuck it on by hand and expect good results. It will scorch. In the right hands, this is an excellent product at a bargain price. I used it at 26g/m² and have more than enough to do an end of season treatment as well.

Treated 1st March. Used a hand-held spreader. Seems to be as effective as dearer brands - greened up nicely after a week, moss and weed dying off.

It works. I am a DIY user and found the dosage of 20grams per square metre more difficult to apply than another brand I have used previously, and to not overdose. That said, I was very careful and the results are good. The granules are not as easily washed in as the other brand, and when I made my first cut after application, a lot of dust was lifted into the air, which was difficult to avoid inhaling. Happy with the result and price.

Used a drop spreader to put this down so I know the rate was correct. My findings after 3 weeks arent great . I've seen very little change in the grass, no colour change or thickness (bit early to see growth changes). I had some creeping buttercups which haven't been affected by it and some moss which has also survived the treatment. I split some and the grass has died back in that area as would be expected with putting it on at too high of a rate. So I know it must do something but at the recommended rate no visible improvements in grass or reduction in weeds. If you need to remove moss buy iron sulphate it is far more effective.

Great seed

We followed the instructions on this, not really expecting it to achieve anything. That was six weeks ago next week. I thought it worth adding a comment about it having been so sceptical. We applied it to the various grassed areas around our house which had all suffered amazingly from the summer’s drought. Our records show that we had almost no rain from early April until the beginning of September. The grass areas resembled breakfast cereal and were extremely crunchy. Although this did not and I under line not really deal with the weeds it did somehow bring the grass back to life. We have now cut the grass three times and can quite honestly say that it has recovered. I only wish it had dealt with the weeds (and other things growing profusely in the grass) more successfully. So grass four stars weeds one star.

Easy to use. Instructions are on the packaging. 8kg covers 400m2. Thats 20g per square meter. Its easy to weigh and distributed by hand wearing gloves. Approximately 500g almost fills a half litre plastic pot. Put on wet grass during the rain or just as rain is starting fall. Can be reapplied at the same rate after 6 weeks. Weeds may grow much bigger after application, this is correct, they then die off from exhaustion within 6 weeks. The lawn can take 7 or more days to green up it depends on the amount of rain, sunshine and essentially soil temperature. Weigh and measure accurately until you get used to using the product. Its extremely good value for money but depends entirely on rain, sunshine and soil temperature. Rake out the dead moss using a lawn (fan shaped) rake and bin the first three mowings rather than compost them at home. I will definitely buy this again.
