During heat wave, this kept us comfortable.
We have a 30-pint Frigidaire dehumidifier in a different house which is much smaller. It works very well, but the rooms are very close together. I was worried that the larger version would make too much heat, and not dehumidify our somewhat sprawling apartment (~ 1500 sq feet including closets). But I am pleased to say it is working very well. Four (4) of the rooms are in adjacent to, or in a line from the central hall, and the machine dehumidifies them very quickly. A fifth room is off 1 of the others, and the dehumidifier lowers the humidity in that room slowly, but it remained comfortable during the entire heatwave. The machine makes some noise and gives off some heat, so it has to be located in a room that you are not spending time in. We located the machine in the central foyer of our apartment. That space communicates with the kitchen, living room, my study, and a hallway to the back bedroom. We find the large water reservoir hard to carry to the sink or bathtub to empty if it is completely full. Even though the machine has a window into the water reservoir, you cannot really see how full it is. So you have to just keep track of the time since your last empty and empty it. I am very happy we acquired this appliance.

Worst product - do not buy from Frigidaire
Buerys, be aware, do not buy this product, this is one of the worst from an otherwise historic company. I replaced this one in 2023 when my old frigidaire dehumidifier died. Even last year its performance was not quite good. I have an external temp gauge with humidity reading. My 1 year was going to expire last year so Frigidaire kept sending me letters to pay $69.99 to extend warranty for 5 years. I hesitated but since this was an expensive unit, I thought and paid to extend warranty. I use this unit in my unfinished basement to control humidity. This year this unit completely died, the unit shows 70% humid confirmed by my own meter. I use external hose to run this without emptying bucket option. I called Frigidaire and sent them my invoice downloaded from Amazon site and pic of my box which I kept showing serial number, they claimed this is not "original" receipt and won't honor the warranty. I mentioned that regardless of that, I bought extended warranty and if this is active, to replace my unit. Since then I talked with Amazon and sent them invoice again, serial number pic, letter with warranty extension to 2029. Their phone agents take the req and then say they forwarded to their back office to review. I have called over 10 times or every other day, but these people never respond and hope I go away. I even asked them to return the $69.99 I paid for extended warranty coverage and that I will never buy their product ever again but still no response. I am thinking of working with small claims court but not sure if they will be helpful at all to me as a consumer. I would give this no star but then I am forced to put at least one.

New 60-Pint FFAD6022W1 Lowered My Crawl Space Humidity FAST and has Great New Features!
Although still working (and I am a Frigidaire dehumidifier fan), my 6-year-old 70-Pint (old rating method) Frigidaire dehumidifier has only been keeping my large crawl space humidity in the range of 64-67%. Not satisfied, I ordered and received my new Frigidaire High Humidity 60-Pint (new rating method) model FFAD6022W1 yesterday. Out of the box, just the size difference screamed "This baby is a serious dehumidifier!". The size difference between big new 60-Pint model vs my considerably smaller 8-year-old 50-Pint and 6-year-old 70-Pint Frigidaire models is VERY noticeable. Within 90 minutes of replacement, the new FFAD6022W1 had IMPRESSIVELY lowered the humidity in my crawl space from 69% to 57%! AND later in the evening, that humidity was down to 51%! I can't really attest to energy efficiency, but I expect it to consume somewhat more energy due to its larger capacity and the fact that it is NOT Energy Star Rated. However, the old 70-Pint unit is rated at 6.7 amps while the new FFAD6022W1 is rated at only 4.5% more (7.0 amps) so my hope is that the difference will not be severe. The new FFAD6022W1 also has a couple of extra new standout features that I'll mention: 1.) Auto Mode Button - Auto Mode automatically sets the humidity and fan speed based on room comfort/temperature level (specifically <65F/55%, 65-77F/50% and >77F/45%). Not having to think about or adjust humidity level and fan speed settings is a GREAT new feature.; and 2.) To prevent overheating the compressor, the FFAD6022W1 has an automatic BUILT-IN 3-minute time delayed start if the unit is turned off and on quickly. To protect compressors, for the same purpose I've purchased and use separate protective plug-in devices for my dehumidifiers, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc. Having this feature built right into the unit is great and a cost saver since the purchase of a separate device is no longer necessary. There you have it. I'm VERY impressed and happy thus far. Now I just hope it lasts like my other two Frigidaire dehumidifiers!

DO NOT BUY THIS DEHUMIDIFIER!!! Frigidaire will not make good on its warranty.
We bought a Frigidaire dehumidifier in May 2022 and it stopped working in January 2023. So, we were outside the return window for Amazon to return it. We have been through hell trying to get it replaced by Frigidaire. You wait at least an hour on hold waiting for a customer service rep to handle your issue whenever you call. Then, they insist that you have to fill out a form for their warranty claim. My husband and I have been on the phone trying to get Frigidaire to replace the dehumidifier for at least 7 hours over the last two weeks. We sent in the claim form and then it took Frigidaire 10 days to send us the replacement. But wait! We got the replacement yesterday and it does not work!!!! The control panel doesn't light up and no water comes out the hose. So, back to wait at least an hour on hold to talk to Frigidaire's customer service again. So, what do they tell us? We have to file another warranty claim for the second machine that does not work. Do not pass go, go straight to jail. We asked for a supervisor to call us and no one calls. What the hell happened with customer service in America? No companies stand behind their products. Having this same issue with Xfinity, Dish Network and others now because the customer service reps are awful and they barely understand English. I won't be buying anything of this nature on Amazon again and will never get another Frigidaire appliance! Update to this review as of May 10, 2023: I am on hold again with Frigidaire customer support in Malaysia trying to find out why my warranty replacement dehumidifier has not been sent. I have sent in the required documents FIVE times including once again today. I am on hold waiting for a supervisor to tell me why they can't approve my warranty replacement. This will be the fourth time I have waited to talk to a supervisor. Every time I call I have to explain again that Frigidaire sent a replacement warranty dehumidifier that was defective (the control panel did not light up and the machine would not turn on). Then the rep proceeds to tell me they are missing some document that they need to send it to their "back office" for approval. I have been told this line so many times I have lost count. I have verified and re-verified that I send all the required documents. The rep I am talking to now cannot even get the spelling of my email address right - so how the hell is she going to be able to process a warranty claim that is essentially for 2 failed dehumidifiers? I am beyond disgusted. I plan on writing a detailed letter to the CEO of Electrolux. I used to consider them an excellent company. Those days are gone.

Great product so far.
So far so good. Performs as expected. Tied into main drain to eliminate having to dump the holding tank.

60 pint high efficiency
I have both the 50 pint and 60 pint units. Looking at price it's understandable that the 50 pint may be considered a better value. But the 60 pint is much more efficient. Frigidaire has chosen to not highlight this difference, perhaps for concern about making their less expensive models seem inefficient. The 60 pint is twice the size and weight of the 50. It is rated at removing 2.8 liters per kWh of electricity used. The 50 pint is rated at 1.8 liters/kWh. The 60 pint also is the quietest dehumidifier I have owned at the lower of the two fan speeds. My meter shows the 60 pint running on high at 488 watts, and the 50 at 638 watts. The 60 pint isn't better if its oversized for the need. It is appropriate for dehumidifying a larger, wetter space. I rate it four stars because of unknown reliability.

Worked great until it didn't.
Unfortunately we had the same experience as others here. We purchased this unit 13 months ago (yes, we're one month out of the warranty period) for our basement - 80% finished, 20% utility room. The humidifier did a great job at keeping the humidity of the whole basement down. We have a drain in the utility room so running a hose out the back and not needing to worry about dumping the bucket was the way to go. Energy draw didn't seem too terrible, the noise was fine since it was in the utility room and we never had a need to move it around once it was in place. That being said, the casters on the bottom did make it easy to roll on hard concrete if we ever had the need. A few days ago I noticed the basement feeling a bit more moist than usual; the dehumidifier was reading a steady 70%. Hose was dry, bucket was dry but fan was still running. I tried power cycling it, unplugging it from the wall and plugging it back in, all to no avail. From what I can tell the compressor either isn't kicking on or staying on. It doesn't appear to be frozen, just not functioning. It's not throwing error codes (yet). Based on other reviews and what I've read about these units, repair isn't an option. We'll be buying a replacement unit (with the extra 4-year protection offered by Assurion) since we liked the unit enough to replace it but not enough to have faith that it will last much more than a year.

Worth it!
You are not watching tv with it on in the living room, but it can fill the tank in a day! Turns off at the scheduled humidity. Easy to use and set up. Does warm the house some and that is ok as it is winter here in the northwest Accurate too, measured off another meter and they agree

Very effective
My basement was quite damp and the musty smell was highly noticeable. It was pretty bad. Within a mere few hours of turning this on, i began to notice a difference. The first few days i had to empty the bucket twice a day. (Which is a good thing imo, it means it was really wicking all the moisture out). Within 3-4 days the moisture level was at a comfortable 40% and all the mustiness and damp is gone. At this point, i empty the bucket once a day and am planning to attach a hose directly to a drain. Im very impressed and satisfied with this machine so far. For context, my basement is one open space of about 1000 sq feet. The only negative aspect is the noise. It's not as quiet as i would have liked. It's not so much the compressor noise, but it's the fan. It's not subtle but i can definitely tolerate the noise since it's made the basement liveable again.

2 Thumbs down . Buyer beware! 1 year warranty; don’t expect it to last beyond that!
Don’t expect it to last longer than the one year warranty period. After one season of operation the unit stopped collecting moisture due to either a failed compressor or a leak in the refrigerant line. Greasy residue was found in the collection tray. No error codes, continued to run, but collected no moisture. Very disappointed. Prior to the unit failing I was happy with the purchase because of its low noise level and apparent quality of build. Reached out to Frigidaire about expected lifespan of these units and unfortunately 1 year is all you can expect.

Working well so far.
I had to replace a 6 yr old Frigidaire that went into overdrive and burnt out. While I was waiting for this new unit to arrive I started up an older machine that did not suck any moisture out of the air. I found this strange because the old Frigidaire needed emptying every 24 hrs. Although the previous Frigidaire was the largest I could find at the time this new one is even larger and very heavy. At 60 lbs it was a bit of a struggle to get it into the basement (I am old and petite) but I managed and upon starting it up I found it has some nicer features than the previous model. What I really like is the automatic setting as it makes the decisions and chooses a humidity that it thinks I will find comfortable, and I do. But it is on the noisy side in terms of air flow and will have to be turned off in order to enjoy television or music. Did a lot of research. Decided it was a crap shoot on which one to buy, but (I think) I am glad I settled on this one.

Excellent dehumidifier but noisy
I am disappointing in the noise level of this machine. My old Frigidaire dehumidifier lasted me 7 years and was much less noisy. The reason is that my old one had a choice of low~med-high operational option. This machine does not. For efficiency I give it 5+ stars. it filled the bucket the first day. All told, I would return it if I could, but it is so heavy and already unpacked, it is too difficult, so will have to live with it. I would have expected an operational volume choice for such a high cost.

Great Unit and Best Prime Day Deal
The deal was so good I ended up with 2. I run one in a large garage that had summer humidity issues causing rust on machinery, tools, etc over the last couple years. The other I was going to run in a medium sized concrete room that given the nature of concrete gets damp, but instead am using it in our finished basement and moved the previous unit to the concrete room. They have been set it and forget it - 60% in garage (55x36) and 50% in basement and the units keep things in that range based on a humidity gauge I have. The units move air no doubt about that --- if you turn turbo on it really puts the air through but you will pay a bit of noise premium for that. I haven't hooked up to drains at this point but may in the future as they have needed to be emptied every 2 days or so which is on par with the previous unit we had. I do like the fact that the drain is a standard hose connection and no some clamp or friction fit tubing. Not the quietest units, but not the noisiest we have had either. I do run the one in the basement 7x24 based on it keeping it at 50% and I hear it come on at night periodically but it is more white noise than anything. Power consumption --- we will see when the next bill comes in. Although not Energy Star compliant, the units rated wattage consumption is lower than some comparable units that have less pints per day and I would assume less pints per kwh of electricity. The only negative I have seen is sometimes the unit is slow to detect the water reservoir removal -- it does eventually, but the bucket is already out so there may be a bit of water in the bottom of the unit when you go to put back in. Otherwise a great buy at the price point on Prime Days. Too bad it has been replaced with a unit that removes less pints per day and has a higher wattage usage. Longevity --- will keep you posted.
