4CLAWS Incline Scratching Pad (White) - Basics Collection Cat Scratcher

My cat loves this item! In fact, she took right too it and no longer uses the one that made use of twined rope as she had torn that up pretty badly over the past several months. This was her "Christmas" gift, and she loved it. When I first saw it, I thought that she would destroy it very quickly, but it is holding up well and so I am pleased. I did put a bit of catnip on it to entice her the first time and that is all that it took! The pressed cardboard is holding up very well. Think about getting this as the ones made with the hemp rope tend to get frizzy, shred, and your cat, being a cat, might chew on the frizzy parts and swallow them, making your cat ill. Be warned though, tiny bits of the cardboard do come off of this, so cleanup is a must once is awhile, but nothing like the frizzy twine rope ones. Overall, I think this is much cleaner...and safer for your cat to use. I'm attaching a picture close up for you to see both types of scratching boards. Keep in mind that I have had to trim down the rope version repeatedly or my cat chews on it and it also gets the rough ripped threads in her face as she leans into it to scratch. The picture also shows the little mess that this one leaves, and my cat is quite aggressive when she scratches! By the way, she now ONLY uses the newer, pressed cardboard version. By the way, also placed side by side, the picture shows which my cat prefers and is more comfortable!

This is an excellent cat scratcher - according to my observations of how much my cat scratches the scratcher vice the new sofa. I believe the angle is what the cats find so attractive about the scratcher, and I did sprinkle it with a bit of catnip to make it extra enticing. My kids use this scratcher as a step-stool as well so it can withstand weights of approximately 40lbs. Great all around cat scratcher with a minimalist design and I will likely purchase another quite soon. I myself appreciate the look of the scratcher as it is something that you can have in your living room that doesn't scream "cat" like the others shaped like a fish or whale or what-not.

My cats love it. They fight over it at play time. It is very light, and the cats often turn it over while playing on it. I really wish is was heavier so it wouldn't flip over while they are playing on it. It seems a bit overpriced for what it is.

This 4Claws Scratching Pad is terrific! My new 1.5y/o male cat, Juniper, loves scratching it and getting his mousey out from under the hole/curved area. Put a little bit of cat nip on the scratching pad and it's all purrs and craziness, then a nap. He lays his head at the bottom of it :) It's also a sturdy scratcher as my cat weighs about 6-7 lbs. I do have to prop it next to the bookcase and in front of the table leg which are rectangular because when he gets over enthusiastic, Juniper has pulled the scratching pad off the carpet some with his claws. Having it propped helps it to stay in place. I figure this will last a year or longer and I will purchase this again from the vendor. The vendor packaged the scratcher well and it arrived a day in advance of the expected delivery date. Cat's happy, I'm happy...thank you 4Claws for the product and I'm a verified purchaser!

My cat has always loved ramp style scratching pads but this was her first made of cardboard, the others were made of sisal rope and the ropes would get pulled off and it seemed to potentially be a safety hazard if not replaced at that point. Thought the cardboard might get messy but it has not. She loves lounging on the ramp more than she scratches it but of course she loves scratching it too, this one is much larger than all the previous rope style ones she has had in the past, wider and longer (about twice the size), the larger size is great, seems more comfortable to lounge on. Took a few days for her to warm up to it like most new things but now she cannot be without it.

I asked my cat to provide a few thoughts, as she is the one who uses this. She declined, saying she had better things to do. So, based on my observations, this is a great cat scratcher. The angle works well and it holds up reasonably well to some serious claw work.

I bought this because I noticed my cat likes to scratch vertically and horizontally and prefers cardboard texture instead of sisal rope. I wanted to get her an inclined cardboard scratcher in addition to her basic horizontal cardboard scratcher and thought this might work for her. First of all, she didn’t even register it as a scratcher because of the angle until I turned it upside down to lay flat. Which, if anything, shows that this product is versatile. However, the real problem is that it’s way too soft for her claws. There’s not enough friction or grit for her to cling onto. She has given it a couple tries but ends up just going back to her old scratcher. Obviously, this is subjective to my cat’s preferences, so do with it what you will.

This is truly a hidden gem. My kitten fell in love with this scratching post immediately. He has a cat tree but he still regularly uses this scratching post. It is great quality, which is a surprise since it seems like just cardboard. I’ve had it for more than 6 months and it’s still in great condition and used daily. I highly recommend this scratching post for anyone looking for a space saving and inexpensive item.
