Professionally made!
This is the third or fourth handsaw I have purchased online. Others were flimsy and had way too much set in them. This one is well made and cuts great. I love the sound of using a good hand saw. I highly recommend.

Best hand saw of its kind in this modern age devolution of tool quality.
Cuts like butter through any thickness I’ve tried, up to 6x6 treated lumber. I’ve felled 16in live cedar trees. Hundreds of live 3in branches. Super sharp teeth that have so far lasted well through the abuse. Bought one for my friend so he could say I got him the best hand saw around. Good job on this saw Irwin.

I really like this saw
I don't know anything about saws. As a homeowner I have the occasional use. This cuts nicely. The cut is pretty fine and so it takes a little longer but the cut is smooth. The handle is nice and smooth. The blade hasn't rusted. I've used this on plywood and even a crepe myrtle branch. This is much simpler than getting out a power saw and in my case, safer. I would recommend this 10/10.

Just what I wanted
This saw is a typical Irwin, well made. The handle, with the Irwin rubber on it, is just right for a person with big hands. Cuts straight and smooth, meaning it was sharpened and set correctly.

Good length, used as a pole saw, although not intended or the best, but works.
Used for a pole saw attachment, easy to attach, however not the best use though. Saw is a good product though.

Good Value
I got this saw to help me make a notch from the bottom up in a existing side beam in order to get a custom column cap slid up into place for a post replacement. Because the notch is right up against the main beam perpendicular beam I don’t have room to get my knuckles around the handle so I removed the handle and had a friend weld an off set handle on one side of the saw blade. This way I will not be bending the blade and causing the cut to go off course. Cutting up will be a pain but I have faith in the saw because I have another of the same model that I’ve had for a few years that has been a reliable and accurate hand saw for me.

Nice saw!
I use in daily in a higher volume cabinet making woodshop. Keeps very sharp and makes good clean cuts.

Irwin used to have the same saw but shorter, can't get it any more. This one is great, if a tad longer than I want.
