Spice of Life Smile LED Lantern - Brown - Portable Night Light Camping Lantern for Kids

This lantern is used by my 3 year old to read his books at bedtime. It’s a little too bright, but we might be able to change the bulb (haven’t checked). It’d be great for a camping trip! The only thing I don’t like is that there is a little rubber “band” that goes around the lantern and on the power button. My son is able to get this off and it could present a choking/strangulation hazard for kids. We told him how serious it was to leave it on and leave it alone. He did take it off once more but after that has ignored it. Giving one less star due to that issue.

Our 3 year old has been having fun camping. But a couple of things were quickly put at ease. First, she wanted to be like daddy; having her own lamp. This lamp she loves, the happy face and the easy button. Since it uses an LED for the light source it does not eat up batteries quickly.Second thing was that it puts out a good amount of light. Going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, she loved going to the bathrooms at the camp sight because she can see in the night. Plus daddy was with her.Remember that this is all plastic so if left in the sun it will become brittle and maybe the color will fad. Not sure how long it will take, but it will since it is plastic.Great toy/camping gear for little ones. It does what it says and not many things to knock this down. Get one, have fun with your little one.

It's a cute little lantern. Just the right size for our 2 year old granddaughter's little hands. The light has a soft glow so it makes for a good night light. The only improvement I would make on it would be for the the light to go off by itself after a few minutes. Kids tend to forget to turn it off and thus a lot of batteries get wasted. Other than that, this is a great little lantern that makes our little one smile right back at it. This would get 5 stars from me if it turned itself off after a few minutes.

Bought this for my son to help him settle in his bed at night. He loves it and it instantly helped with keeping him in his bed at night!The only flaw with it is the little button strap that goes around it. It's removable and my toddler is constantly taking it off. It's annoying, but doesn't affect the product other than if it gets lost, you'll just have to hope your pinky finger is small enough to fit it the opening to turn it on/off. Lol!Other than that, this has been a great little nightlight for my son!

I was worried about purchasing these because of the previous reviews, but they are so cute I took a chance. I'm so glad I did, because we LOVE them! I purchased 2 and they both work great, they are much brighter than I expected, but not too bright. They are the perfect size, slightly bigger than other toddler lanterns I have purchased in the past. The button is super easy to push on both lanterns. I absolutely love the hook handle, it's perfect for hanging in the middle of the tent to see. I have no complaints, they are so cute.

First of all this lantern is probably going to seem smaller than you expect if you don't pay attention to the dimensions, but it's a perfect fit for child-sized hands and seems fairly durable. It's SO CUTE with the bright colors and smiley face. It emits a bright but soft glow (bright enough to light up a bed tent and read by, but not so bright it hurts your eyes to look at), and I love that it has an open hook at the top so it can be easily hung up. My daughter (age 7) got a bed tent for Xmas and this lantern, and she's able to hang the lantern from a little loop located on the inside top center of the tent. She LOVES the setup and says she feels safe from monsters now. :) I also got one for my 6 year old niece for Xmas and she and her 3 yr old sister fight over it daily! My only negative remark (hence the 4 star rating) is that the bottom twists off a little too easily where the batteries go. It won't fall off or anything, but it's very easily and sometimes accidentally untwisted.

We purchased two of these for our first camping trip with our 2-year olds. We actually forgot our own lanterns and used these as our primary source of light when gathering outside at night. They don't throw off much light, which is to be expected as they are for children. But, they held up quite well in an unexpected downpour (although they were not left outside long). My only recommendation would be the handle is a wide and it will not hook on some of the items that I tried to hang it on (like the handle of my stroller). But that can be fixed with attaching a carabiner or rope/bungee cord.

This is adorable and works just great. My only issue is that it’s actually so bright that I wish there was a second level of light available. But, it’s fun, cute, and does just what it says and my kid loves it.
