Revell Maverick's F/A-18 Hornet

Cute but too small and not worth the money!

Just like when I was a kid, now I’m sharing it with my son. Good stuff!

The quality of this model is subpar at best. Nothing lines up well. The pieces are not precise. Parts of it don’t line up, there are gaps all over it. I had to end up using super glue to attached many of the pieces. I built plenty of Revell models when I was a kid and they were so much better than this. It truly was a waste of money. My son begrudgingly finished it but it looks like a bunch of unrelated pieces connected together. Terrible purchase.

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson, he put it together by himself. He loves it.

Well I read the comments before buying to know what I got into...so I wasn't really disappointed. Let's just say the quality, how the parts fit together, well the reviews are all true. If it was me trying to make the model look authentic and realistic...well I would be severely disappointed. However you don't get a snap-tite model if you want detail....just saying. But...for me, I was wanting something to build with my 5 year old and it got the job done. No painting, no filling in seams or airbrushing...just slap the stickers on and run around the house. He loves it, and if he's happy...I'm happy. I must say one thing that reeeeally urcks me. It's a f18C hornet....or as some call them, the F18 legacy body style. The topgun maverick was an F18 Super hornet. So it just bugs me they're pushing it as a top gun style aircraft when it's not the super hornet as depicted in the movies. I would give it a 2 star rating if my boy wasn't so thrilled with it...but he's still making airplane noises with is so ill bump it up a star.

Bought for my hubby, he loves planes. But does not have the patience for something more elaborate. So this worked great because he could put it together quickly.

I have this kit this not first time I have see problem with fit I have f-150 raptor kit body was ok to frame just the mirror did not fit hole too small for pin this I read reviews on this kit it not going to be a problem I see all time I will be doing thing very much different I do much experience with easy click I lol model are easy snap kit before only challenge be paint the pilot figure came with in kit paint and put it to together be not any problem

Of course I didn't expect this to be high-quality like the other model kits that we are so familiar with when we think of Revell. Afterall, this is for kids and it should be easy to assemble, follow the manual and be durable. It's none of those things. Parts are VERY flimsy. The molds on the panels (where you remove individual pieces from) were not shaped correctly and made it very difficult to cut out. There are massive gaps between pieces. The box did arrive squished from Amazon, but don't think it has anything to do with the fit since most piece lie flat. I could be wrong though. This is not a "Revell" quality model at all. This is like one of those $10 model kits you buy from an unknown brand at a flea market. Disappointed, wouldn't recommend.
