At last, a portable solution to applying heat to your eyelids to help when suffering from dry eye syndrome. Over the past five years plus, I have been using a product that heats your eyelids at a safe temperature. This allowed me to throw away my eyedrops with a simple application each morning for 12-minutes. The company that produced this product was purchased by a large company and this product has disappeared. Needless to say, this is an example of a large company purchasing a small one with the goal of ending this product in favor of selling their outrageously priced eye drops. Enter EyeGiene delivering a simple, compact, and effective product that has successfully replaced what I had been using. Terrific concept. You have an eye mask that you place a self-heating wafer in a pocket for each eye. These wafers start self-heating within a minute and, last about 15-minutes. The temperative is safe and effective to heat up your tear glands that are located in your eyelid. I use it for twelve minutes and then have a trouble-free day from dry eye syndrome. The pricing is reasonable and the mask and wafers are HSA eligible. Great product!

These were great to have, post eye surgery for heat compress. I purchased several boxes and all of the wafers worked well. They got so warm that I had to place a thin washcloth between my skin and mask compress.

I suffer from MGD and have used various eye warming masks. I've used the USB plug ins, assorted microwavable ones and other one time use masks with the flimsy ear pieces. I used this for the first time last night and here are my opinions and observations. I find the mask itself more comfortable than the ones that use Velcro to hold them on your head. The size of the eye pieces fit my eyes better than all the other eye masks that I've used. The headband holds the eye pads snuggly to your eyes so the warmth really reaches them and the heat was a moist heat. Can't say that about the fit in the other disposable masks. It is lightweight which adds to the comfort. The microwavable masks with the beads in them are heavier and can be warmer depending on how long you leave them in the microwave but the Velcro and the size and shape of the mask don't allow the mask to mold around my eyes like the EyeGiene does. Also when you travel you don't always have access to a microwave. The one downside to these for me is the cost. Refills are still close to $1 per day if you use them once a day but I really like this system because of the way it fits so I'll probably continue to use it supplemented with the microwavable mask.

I liked that it is portable. You don't need a microwave oven to heat it. In other products I have used, I would have to reheat the patch in the microwave to keep it warm. With Eyegiene, all you do is open the packet, pop the warmers in the eyepatch and it is ready to go! Love that! The warmers stay at the appropriate temperature throughout the required 10 minutes. No guesswork involved. My vision is clearer and my eyes are less dry after using this product. I took it on a trip with some refills, recently, and it served not only as a dry eye relief but also as a soothing, relaxing "spa" treatment. 😊. Thank you for this product!

Love this product. Used it for a Chalazion I have on my eye and it has helped it much better than hot wash cloths. The heat is even, lasts longer and my Chalazion is down to a fraction of the size in just a few weeks rather than months. Also is so easy and convenient, no needing to use the microwave to heat up the inserts which is great since I travel a lot for my work. Great to put on at bedtime I often fall asleep with it on which gives me a nice long treatment to relieve my eye. I only wish there were some way to just use it on one eye but it doesn't hurt to treat both eyes.

DOES NOT WORK! I had a stye and needed an on the go warm eye compress and this Item barely heats up and if used in the eye pouch you can't feel any heat at all. Complete waste of money! You're better off buying hand warmers, once heated place in a small baggie and wrap in a soft thin piece of fabric and apply to the eye.

I Like That I Can Use A Product That Is Safe To Use Instead Of Eye-drops. I Can Sit And Relax While It Soothes My Eyes. The Only Criticism I Have Is You Should Put Directions On How To Use It. Like How Long Do You Keep It On-How Tight The Mask Should Be-How Often Should You Use It-And Finally Are There Any Side Effects To It's Use' It Would Be Helpful If You Included That In The Shipment. I cannnot say if I like this because no mask is included with this item which is why I can only give 3 stars. The name is: “ Self Heating Eye Mask | Warm Eye Compress for Dry Eyes | Reusable Stye Eye Compress | Heated Eye Masks for Dry Eyes | Hot Compress for Eye | Dry Eye Mask”. It is shown with the mask, reviews talk about the mask - but you need to also order a starter set that actually has a mask. I guess I won’t be able to even try this until the “mask” arrives. It does not say if you can use the heating pads without the mask, so I will wait for my next order of the starter kit which includes the mask (not included with this item).

The package came in an envelope and the box inside has some damage. It says because the envelope is lighter and I assume it’s cheaper. Luckily it didn’t greatly affect the product but it was disappointing.

I am absolutely amazed by EyeGiene! After a long, tiring day at work spent in front of the computer screen, I was desperate for some relief. I didn’t expect it to be this effective, especially since I have a small punctum that often leads to dry eyes. But EyeGiene has truly exceeded my expectations! The instant relief and relaxation it provides for my eyes are simply incredible. It’s so convenient to use, making it a perfect addition to my daily routine. I can't recommend it highly enough!
