Does this shampoo get rid of lice or just prevent from getting it?

It "helps" to prevent. I have 10 children, 15 grandchildren, and half the neighborhood kids play here, So we go periods of time when lice go crazy, The Best thing I have found for lice issues is washing hair with Denorex shampoo Then use Licefreee Gel 8 Oz. Tube with Root Applicator , works best in my opinion. Hope that helps...

My daughter is 5 year old, Is it safe to use this everyday to prevent lice? can i use this for 4-5 years till she is old enough to take care her self?

It's safe to use on her, but it would not let her do it herself. It is not tear free! I use it on my 2 year old. And yes you can use it everyday. You can use it for as long as you need or want.

I have long hair - will this kill fleas that keep getting in my hair from my pets?

This product will not kill lice, it only works to prevent them before they exist.

Sorry can't recall seeing a date on the bottle. It was too strong a scent for my young daughter so we didn't use the rest.
