These are great for cutting down noise, from earplug instructions I read you roll up the earplug, pull the top of your ear up, insert the earplug, let go off the top of your ear and hold the earplug in place for 30 to 40 secs for best noise reduction. These are firm enough to stay rolled up, but soften in your ears. These work best when they are cooler, I noticed all earplug are a bit harder to get rolled and stay rolled in the summer, but otherwise they are easy to insert and are a perfect size for my ears.

THE BEST EARPLUGS EVER!!! I moved to a new neighborhood where construction on a new housing/building development began shortly after I was finally all settled into my new home. Needless to say, I first tried these amazing earplugs because the jackhammers nearby started pounding the ground so loud and so early in the morning that I can't even believe it's legal for them to start that early and I wasn't able to get much, if any, sleep because I tend to work really late shifts and I was constantly being woken up by the blaring noise of the chaos outside my bedroom - at least not until I purchased a pair of these wonderful noise cancelling plugs! They fit comfortably in my ear (not too far in and they never fall out while I'm sleeping) and they block out SO MUCH NOISE that I no longer wake up in a state of panic to the abrupt clanking of the jackhammers and construction going on outside of my place. I've never been so happy with such a small purchase before! I can't praise these little sanity-savers enough. It seems like each pair lasts me for about a week or so of sleep (I mostly use them for Sunday through Thursday nights because the jackhammers appear to have Saturday and Sunday mornings off) and I would strongly recommend them to anybody who needs just a really comfortable set of earplugs that you practically forget are in your ear when you fall asleep, especially if you have startlingly or disturbing noises that are preventing you from getting enough rest to function well on a day to day basis. All in all, I give this particular brand and set of earplugs a 5-star review because they seem to do a MUCH BETTER job than the others I have tried in the past that use to fall out of my ear while I slept (thus, defeating the purpose of trying to block the noise coming from the morning jackhammers). WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CAN'T HEAR YOU! Just kidding, they are super! And even moreso now: a major roadway project is "staging" next to our condo for a year and every vehicle has essential VERY LOUD backup bells and horns they use ALL NIGHT. We also wore them at the US Navy Blue Angels air show here and likely could have sold them for 10 bucks a piece. Wonderful. Learned about them during a hospital stay (shared a room with a snorer) and have bought and traveled with them ever since!!

Tried lots of the newer tapered "sparkplug" styles over the years. Many were too soft and wouldn't stay put in my ear canals (larger than average, I guess?) Liked the Hearos (larger, firmer material) but local WalGrn store replaced with their house brand. Looked similar in color, but they hurt my ears. BAD. Not from too tight, but felt like a chemical burn when I took them out in the morning. Gave it a few days, but they consistently left my ear canals stinging when I took them out. Weird. Also read reviews on many others here, and notice a current trend of complaints of recent material formulation changes, resulting in poor performance and disappointments in many of the competitors. Virtually all I've tried had a 32 db rating, so I disregarded these old originals, as they only tout a 29 db rating. I wear them to sleep every night, and bore a hole out of another set to fasten to earbuds for listening/hearing protection in my day job (woodworking). This means I'm wearing ear protection a minimum of 8-14 hours out of 24, so I want the absolute best performance possible. Just received these 3m classics, figuring I'd give them a shot again, as it's been years since they were locally available. Results: Slept through a thunderstorm last night (no clue it happened), while my wife suffers lack of sleep today, (she doesn't like to wear ear plugs). Also made a new set for my earbuds in the shop today. Though rated at 29 db, they seem to block the hissy and screechy 2.5kHz through 6kHz MUCH better than any of these "new and improved" versions I've been trying to work with for years. THAT is what counts, more than any EPA NRR numbers. Bear in mind, like any personal product, they are subject to user's fit and application, but I can say for the price and performance I'm asking of them, I'll be sticking with these now. Simple, reasonably priced, and wonderfully effective for me. Very distinct difference in noise reduction from all the other brands I've tried. Highly recommended.

These ear plugs work very well. They are great at keeping out noises like snoring and even dog barking. They are made slightly differently than others on the market - they have some sort of coating which makes them easier on the ear canal and less likely to hurt during the night. The other earplugs on the market create a vacuum which can be painful - these do not.

What i like most about this product is the fact that you get 30 pairs for less than $14. You will not find a better price, especially for the quantity. I have been buying ear plugs for decades, these 3M plugs are awesome. In most retail stores and pharmacies, the price is the same, however, you only get 12 to 13 pairs, not 30. Each pair has it's own little box. As for noise cancellation, I can barely hear myself speak. Nice and spongy. Little tip, you can wash these earplugs in a machine,no problems. If your a person who works all day with big noise, these are definitely for you.

Pour avoir longtemps travaillé dans l'industrie et avoir essayé maints modèles, je peux attester ici que ce produit est de loin le meilleur du marché. Simple et efficace, il fait mieux que les meilleurs casques antibruits. Pour avoir mieux il faut ensuite adopter des bouchons créés sur mesure chez un orthophoniste. Avec une débroussailleuse par exemple, dont le niveau sonore est proportionnel à l'efficacité, la protection sonore est nettement supérieur au casque Stihl, qui me semblait pourtant une référence en la matière. Ces bouchons sont aussi totalement adaptés au tir en salle ou en extérieur. Bref, ils font leur job à merveille en laissant malgré tout filtrer certaines fréquences puisqu'on peut tout en les portant arriver encore à entendre les voix de l'entourage, bien que parfois très feutrés... Le seul petit reproche serait peut-être que ces bouchons sont salissant ; d’où l'intérêt d'en avoir quelques paires d'avance.

Well packed and item is truly new. Ive bought this earplugs from other local Singapore shops and even through they said they were new but the earplugs were a little hardened. These earplugs are new and fresh and worked perfectly! The packing is also well done to prevent crushing. Good job! Will definitely buy 3M products and from this seller again!
