It does kind of work, but not if you want to use CarPlay.
Bought this to avoid running an ugly USB cable out from under the car trim. Unfortunately, no Lightning cable I tried worked with my phone when using this. If I wired directly, no problem. Not worth the money if you need it for iPhones and/or CarPlay.
