Originally I got the smaller size, but returned it for this one. I like this size a lot better. It heats up nicely, but the massage function could be better. I don't like that it turns off after 15 minutes. The weight of the heating pad is nice and helps to alleviate some of my discomfort. I read a lot of reviews saying the product only lasted for about a year, so I got the 3 year warranty. To update: THE HEATING PAD STOPPED WORKING AFTER A WEEK. I AM FURIOUS! Update: The heating pad was definitely good the week it worked, so I was extremely disappointed when it stopped working. The customer service is top notch and they will take care of you in the event your luck is as bad as mine. I am leaving 5 stars based on the customer service. I would highly recommend the protection plan just in case.

I'm just going to get straight to it. I have severe panic disorder and my 2 other ugly friends menopause and PTSD do not get along. It makes everything worse for me. If you know... then you know. My home health nurse told me she uses this heating pad and it helps her along with medication. The TMI aside... I opened the box as soon as it arrived and put the heating pad to the test. The weight/ size and softness are great. But most of all, the combo of heat and vibration helped lull me to sleep. Even when switched off the weight helps. I can use it for heat alone or the vibration alone and of course both together. 3 levels heat and 6 levels of vibrations. It automatically shuts off. It's decent size and covers me exactly as advertised. It's seems great quality. If anything fails early, I will comeback and say so. For now, it's working and worth the money. I have zero qualms with it. It's not a cure. Just another thing to help me through this time in life. I would also recommend for tummy troubles. Yeah I have those too. I had a Sharper Image weighted heating pad for about 3 years and absolutely loved it! It stopped working after three years. So, I ordered another one, and I am very disappointed with this one because it barely heats at all. The last one got much warmer than this while this one gets barely warm at all. So, I was inconvenienced to pack the heating pad up and return it via UPS. I then had to order another one. That one arrived and it does not work! The same thing… Barely heats it all. So, I contacted Amazon yet again and I am returning this one. I am very, very frustrated as Amazon sending defective merchandise to me. I am disgusted and frustrated. We will see if I have to return yet another one.

I absolutely love the size of this heating pad — the XXL-wide coverage is fantastic and actually covers my back instead of feeling like I’m playing heating-pad Tetris. The material is super soft and cozy, which makes it really comfortable to use for longer periods. The heat is calming and effective, and the vibration feature definitely helps with tension relief. That said, the vibration comes from two small “bullet” points in the center, so you have to keep repositioning the pad to get relief in different areas. If future versions added multiple vibration disks distributed throughout the pad, this would be a total game-changer. With that upgrade, it would easily be a 5-star product. Overall, still a great purchase — especially for people who want wide coverage and soothing heat.

The weight is nice for my cramps. It is sturdy. The heat does not get very warm unfortunately. It does have an auto shut off. Easy to use. The size is what I expected. The massage element does feel good on my cramps.

I initially purchased the Calming Heat Massaging Weighted Heating Pad by Sharper Image and was disappointed when it shorted out after a few uses. Despite this, I decided to give it another chance with a second purchase, hoping the first was just a fluke. Unfortunately, my second unit has started malfunctioning as well. The pad itself is incredibly comfortable when it works, with a great combination of heat and massage options. The 6 settings (3 heat and 3 massage levels) allow for plenty of customization, and the weighted design provides a soothing pressure that helps relax muscles. The 9 different combinations offer a variety of experiences, making it versatile for different needs, and the 12" x 24" size is ideal for covering areas like your neck, shoulders, and back. However, just like the first unit, the second one is also having issues. The heating function occasionally stops working, and the massaging feature has become inconsistent. This has been incredibly frustrating because when it does work, it’s a great product that provides much-needed relief. It's disappointing to experience two faulty units in a row, especially considering how promising the pad seemed. I’m hesitant to try a third unit, as I’m now concerned about the quality control of this product. While the features are great when they function properly, the reliability has been a significant letdown.

I use this at night to sleep instead of a weighted blanket. I should have paid more attention to the size as I should have ordered a L or XL instead of the XXL. It's still amazing and I love it, but it's almost the size of a smaller towel. It does heat up really warm. The vibration settings are great! The cord is really long, so it makes it easy to use in bed or in the living room. The corded remote is close enough to the pad, but far enough down the cord that it will not interfere with comfort. I originally had one after a surgery and fell in love with it. Needed to replace it after a fluke mishap that broke it.
