High quality, delicious protein powder
I have been using this protein powder in my morning smoothie for about a year now, after first hearing Chris Kresser mention the product in his podcast. I just wasn't hungry in the mornings and I knew I needed a way to start my day with some good calories (i.e. protein and fat, minimal carbs). Add to that an intolerance to dairy protein (the problem for me is really casein, but I also wanted to avoid whey if possible), and this powder was exactly what I needed. It took some fiddling with the smoothie recipe, but now it consistently blends well with the other ingredients. If you try to mix it with just water, it's quite possible that you get the "soup" with chunks of protein floating around. It tastes okay that way but doesn't really look appetizing. The trick is to add some fat to the mix - MCT oil is what I use, along with a couple raw eggs. Then maybe a super greens kind of supplement (chocolate flavored works best with this vanilla protein powder) and occasionally some unmodified potato starch (resistant starch!). Then I blend in the Magic Bullet. It's actually super tasty, and now I look forward to 'breakfast' every morning. Yes, the price is pretty steep, but this is high quality stuff. And one canister will last several weeks of daily use. I use a dose and a half (i.e. 3 tablespoons) each morning, and I get about 3 weeks of smoothies out of it. If you only use the standard dose, there are 30 servings per canister. 27g (1 serving) of high quality protein for breakfast every morning for a month for ~$80 = $2.66 per breakfast. That's downright affordable.

Vanilla tastes great, dissolves just fine!
Vanilla taste is very good (and I normally don’t like vanilla!) - I mix it with my Ryze mushroom coffee as a creamer! I have no problem with clumping at all - I put it in a jar and shake it around. (See pic) No blender bottle needed. It does create some foam, depending on how hard you shake it, but you can drink the foam. I’m also pleased with the creamy taste without the need for a bunch of oils like other brands use to create the creamy taste! I haven’t experienced any bloating issues at all with it.

Excellent protein powder
Great flavor. Nice dairy free product that isn't also pea based.

Taste is a 10/10
Honestly, best tasting protein powder I’ve ever used. It literally tastes like hot chocolate and has so many benefits for your gut compared to other protein powders. Super easy to digest, I have gut issues and I never bloat with this protein powder! Wish it was cheaper but palatability and quality wins on this one!

Sweet
It’s much better than the unflavoured but almost too sweet for me, I just mix with some warm water and Mct oil then needs a good shake and wait for the foam to settle.

Will not dissolve
This powder will not dissolve fully. I tried room temperature water, warm water, cold water, shaker bottle, frother, blender - nothing worked to get rid of the way it congealed and hardened into little bits. It is disgusting. Taste is ok, but the texture reminds me of those videos of people having tonsil stones removed. 🤢

This is an amazing alternative to whey and pea etc. protein based protein powders. It's expensive, but worth it. I like the vanilla flavor, but the chocolate is even better. I love to stir it into yogurt (non dairy). I don't like the taste of the unflavored version at all. I am so happy I chose to stick it out and try the vanilla and chocolate instead!

This was recommended to me by a naturopath for its Paleo and allergen free ingredients. It did not disappoint. Best tasting protein powder and smells good too! It mixes best with a blender or a hand mixer. Can’t wait to try the chocolate one.

Excellent. Doesn't bloat like whey protein powder.

I recently discovered that I’m sensitive to dairy and peas, which made finding a suitable protein powder a challenge—especially since most non-dairy options contain pea protein. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good this protein powder tastes. I actually really enjoy it! It's unfortunate how pricey it is. The only downside is that it blends quite thick. I switched from almond milk to water to thin it out, but it didn’t make much of a difference. I’ve also noticed that if I don’t drink it right away, the consistency becomes a bit strange. It would be great if people shared their favorite recipes in the reviews so others could experiment! Personally, I’ve been mixing it with water and frozen berries or strawberries. If you’re a fan of the Bananas-A-Whey smoothie from Booster Juice, try blending it with frozen bananas—it’s delicious. Looking forward to trying the chocolate flavor next!

Great product, just overly pricey compared to anything comparable. I haven't tried mixing with water yet, but with almond milk is challenging to mix with a spoon, you need a proper mixing container with the metal stirring spring, or lots of patients. 😋😋
