Terrible HP printer with nozzles that constantly clog
The ink nozzles are constantly clogged, and have to clear themselves more often than usual. However, eventually this stopped working on ink stopped coming out of the nozzles properly. The printer's scanning function was fine. I'm giving it 2 stars because it worked ok when it was actually functioning properly.

A Vital Part Missing resulting in not being able to setup new HP 2541 printer from the Amazon Marketplace
I ordered this printer on Tuesday and asked for expedited delivery. The printer I ordered was a standard Deskjet 2541 All in One Wireless, however, I received a "Limited Edition" model of the same printer. The order arrive on Thursday, a day earlier than promised, HOWEVER, the Bill of Lading stated, "Brand New Limited Edition Version, Box Opened To Check For Contents, "Missing INK" HAS Power Cord, USB Cord and Install Disc." Contacted HP Customer Support for installation assistance. After approximately 90 minutes, the support person told me ALL printers are shipped with an initial ink cartridge which is NEEDED for the installation process. I had purchased a full new cartridge prior to the installation which customer service indicated is NOT the desired way to set up a new printer. The HP Customer Service representative encouraged me to return the printer and purchase another one. The very helpful HP CS representative told me he had never taken more than 5-10 minutes to set up a new installation and seem to indicate something might have occurred at the retailer sending the "NEW" printer to me since the limited new black cartridge that should have been in the package was not there when I opened the packed and the Bill of Lading indicated it was missing. Not representative of the usual high quality of product and service received from Amazon. Reseller on the Bill of Lading was AraratExchange

Got this and the ink works in this just as good. Wifi is a little tricky but manageable
Exactly what I was expecting. My existing printer quit working and had a ton of ink left. Got this and the ink works in this just as good. Wifi is a little tricky but manageable.

Works good
This has been a great little printer. I have had it several years now. The only issue is with the wifi connecting to a modern/secured access point secured with wpa2. The HP software will not work any longer for a secured access points (any even wep or wpa) To get around this do the following Connect the printer to a windows pc via USB cable, Download and install the HP software following the directions Reboot your PC Update the firmware of the printer (separate download from HP website) Connect your PC to an open access point (Open - no security) - this does not actually need to be on the internet - you can just use an old AP/router you have laying around. Convert the printer to a wifi printer using the HP software Look on the AP/Router and determine the IP of the printer open the IP of the printer in a web browser Then change the printers network settings via the webpage to the SSID and security you want it to have (supports wep, wpa, wpa2) Connect your PC to that same secured AP/Router Loop up the IP of the printer from the secured AP/Router Change the port on your existing printer in windows to the new IP (or let the HP software find an existing wifi printer) This whole process takes about 15 mins The ink is somewhat expensive - 40-45ish for 640 black pages but it does print nice, its fast and the scans and copies are easy too. For a small home office printer / scanner- its hard to beat.

Quality not the best
I don't use the printer often. So the product worked well the first time I used it. But after sometime past the printer would not work properly. I'm not happy with it but to much time has passed, for me to return the printer.

HP ink policy is terrible.
I have this printer for 4 months. It works good but the HP policy enforces you to buy expensive ink from them. When I refill the ink, it keeps complaining, and then stop working. I didn't do anything to the printer, but it doesn't work after printing a few pages. Next print request is rejected with 'ink cartridge failure' which is solely because the software detects the same old cartridge is used. I replaced it with another old cartridge and the same happens. For economic printing you should look for a laser printer.

A great little printer for the cost
A great little printer for the cost. I've had it for 3 months and haven't had any problems. Set up and connecting to my laptops were extremely easy. It's a bit slow printing, but the end result is of good quality. It scans documents as expected - no problems. I have no complaints and in fact, would purchase another to have in my classroom. I would recommend this printer to someone who does occasional printing, probably not for someone who prints a large number of pages constantly every day. The ink cartridges have lasted me 3 months and I have printed approximately 200 pages. I now need to replace the black, but the color cartiridge is still in use. I am more than pleased with this purchase.
