Kept my paint from rubbing off
I used this over a chair's upholstery that I already painted with a DIY acrylic paint, water, vinegar, and glycerin, mixture. The suggested recipe went on beautifully in transparent layers and gave me the exact look I wanted, but just a little bit rubbed off when i rubbed a white paper towel on it so the chair looked great but unusable. I put one layer of this over the painted chair cushion and though it did change the look of the fabric, it is still soft, and stopped the any paint residue from coming off. So it's great binder for painting on cloth.

Works great for painting t-shirts with acrylics
I used this according to the instructions to paint t-shirts with regular inexpensive acrylic paint and it worked great! The shirts have now been through the wash several times and they still look just like they did when I made them.

I can’t fully rate yet but….
I use it to mix with acrylic paint. I paint denim and it’s supposed to add more flexibility and it thins the paint. I used to not use any medium and the paint can make clothing really stiff. This helps keep the clothing softer. I only gave four stars because time is the true test and I haven’t washed and worn repeatedly yet. Oh! And I found it’s half the price for a different brand at Michael’s that works just as good.

Used this to paint (yes paint!) my dirty old Ugg boots!
Hey guys,I used this product to turn my acrylic paint into "fabric paint". I mixed equal parts of this product + acrylic paint and started painting my super dirty Ugg boots (what can I say, I'm not buying another pair of Uggs for $200+ when I can spend $15 in supplies to make them look new again!). I will post photos of the results (understand, I wasn't super careful on the paint job... but they still look good, I think). A few notes incase you decide to attempt this yourself. 1) if you skip the liquitex and just use your acrylic paint, your Uggs with feel like cardboard. Don't do it. 2) Stuff socks in your Uggs before you start so they keep their shape. 3) It's ok to use a higher ratio of liquitex to paint (more liquitex, less paint), the consistency of the paint will be thinner, but the result will be a softer finish when they dry 4) Let it dry a full 24 hours and then use your hair dryer to heat it up and lock in the paint. After all this, I plan on spraying them with a waterproofer (I ordered one here, called Kiwi Camp Dry. It arrives tomorrow, so we'll see if it works!). Oh yeah, I also ordered new Ugg insoles on Amazon for around $15, so the insides would feel brand new). Hope this helps someone!!BTW, you can use any paint color you want. I used Martha Stewart Satin Sycamore Bark.

Exactly what I needed
I didn’t realize but to buy fabric paint it only comes in like 16 packs or 24 packs I couldn’t find anywhere where they just had a large individual container of white fabric paint. I contacted one of the high-end fabric paint and paint manufacturers, and they said, the only way you could get it again was to buy, the whole set or get this type of liquid medium. it was exactly what I needed. I already had acrylic white paint I just didn’t have acrylic white fabric paint so this mixture you basically just mix it up one in one mixture so the same amount of paint and this medium and it is now fabric paint I haven’t had any peeling, it was exactly like the fabric paint that I used that came in the 24 pack so if you find yourself in the same situation as me trying to find a larger amount of white paint because obviously you use more white and more black than you would most colors this is how you would do it and I would recommend getting this liquid tax
