I have limited dexterity in both hands. I found the Victorinox Pocket Sharpener easier to use than any other sharpener for sak knives, and other similar knives with a flat ground blade. The 'V' ceramic part of the sharpener worked the best in removing all the burrs. Secondly, the long portion of the grit was used. I experimented with doing the opposite on the first knife, but had far better results reversing the assumed directions. My Tinker is sharp enough, though I intend to see what (leather) stropping each knife does. A handy-sized sharpener that works well and quickly. These pocket sharpeners last, reviews state. By snapping the handle in the two intended positions, I found this Sharpener to be the best for pocket knives, cooking knives, and other applications that do not require sharpening at a recommended angle. (i.e., 25, 30, or 35 degree angle). The grip is excellent.

Seems like a very nice little sharpener. I tried it on a couple of knives and it seemed straightforward and seemed to sharpen them quite well.

Ha ha! After getting many other mini sharpener I find out Victorinox makes one. So of course my SAK needed one. And it's a good one! Slim so it fits in ur pocket easily. Blades perform well, stay covered (huge plus) and it's lightweight. It's made so u don't need a surface like a pull through pocket sharpener. Use it like a file. Completes a nice little swiss army knife edc- knife, fire ant (mini ferro rod), helix tinder and sharpener. So i had this a few months. I like to test things not just un box. The price has doubled on here ( Amazon) since I bought mine. Bad bad.

This sharpener works well enough for what it is, but i wouldn't recommend it for your kitchen. Maybe a glovebox or go-bag. The curve of the sharpening rod makes it hard to maintain a proper angle for optimal sharpening. Does anyone sharpen fishhooks? I dont fish much, so even if that is a thing the notch on both sides of the rod just makes it even harder to get a good stroke on a blade. The ceramic v-sharpener only works on blades that are the precise same angle as the rods, so it really only works at all for some knives. Its not a bad product, but it doesn't suit my use case.

This is an awesome sharpener. When hands are covered it is super easy to hone the edge and go back to cutting. Ive told all my buddies about this. They got one and love it too.

Great piece of kit to quickly sharpen and give your knife a decent working edge. Biggest advantage is the size. With the thickness of two pencils side by side, and length slightly longer than a regular pen, this is easy to carry and add to any tool bag. Was easy to give my spyderco with vg10 steel to paper slicing sharpness. Would still recommend to strop after, but even without stropping it still gave it paper slicing sharpness. If it can sharpen vg10, it’ll definitely sharpen victorinox sak steel. Be aware this is with a knife that wasn’t super dull. For really abused knives you’d probably need a more robust knife sharpening system. But for edges that just need a quick touch up this has been a great tool. Quick tip: use the area of plastic where the ceramic stone is attached for a quick edge angle guide!

Easy to use with a little practice. Works well on Victorinox blades as well as most other blades. The "channel" down the middle is for sharpening fishing hooks. Unlike most sharpeners, with this one, you use the blue stone part to do the majority of the sharpening and then use the V-notch part on the top to finish. Other sharpeners want you to drag the blade through the V-notch part first. This sharpener has a much better design than those and that is what allows you to use this one in this sequence. It is a great size and weight. It is very portable and not heavy at all. It is built very well. The cover caps protect it and can even be used as a handle while sharpening. For the price, it is absolutely unbeatable.

包丁が切れなくなってきたので、以前から気になっていたこちらを購入。見事に切れるようになった。 コンパクトなので爪切りやレザーマンなどにも使える。持ち運ぶことはないが、ペンくらいのサイズなので収納も場所を取らない。 何よりも所有感を満たしてくれる。

La verdad que la calidad Victorinox se nota en todas sus herramientas. No confiaba mucho en este pequeño y fino afilador, pero lejos de la realidad es el mejor que he tenido nunca con diferencia. Es muy fácil sacar filo con esta herramienta, la calidad de la piedra hace que con unas cuantas pasadas dejas las navajas como nuevas, y luego con la otra parte limpias el filo para rematarlo. Al ser pequeño para un cuchillo grande quizás se quede corto. Pero para navajas de bolsillo es el complemento perfecto
