Very bright and durable
I carry this light daily and find it to be excellent. Its durability is second to none. Most lights this size don't last very well, but this one does.Battery life is very long and the light pierces the night for a long distance.Takes almost no room in pocket, purse, or merse!

Forget all those cheapo Duracell ones from Costco. THIS is the flashlight to get.
I am cheap. So I bought a pack of 3x Duracell flashlights from Costco and thought they were good. Indeed, they looked okay. But upon using them, their true color shows. Of the 3, one is already in junk status, as it drains battery dead within days w/o being used. The other two are still good, but the quality and feel is not there. They scream cheapness. For the price of those 3 and more, I bought this flashlight. I had my doubts. But all those reviews can't be wrong, can it? Boy, am I glad I bought it. Despite being small, this light is very BRIGHT. The all metal construction feels great and exudes quality. The lens feels and looks to be made of glass. Nice. The beam is nice and round, with proper illumination on the side. Great for night time. And the best part? It is very power efficient. I am still on the original rechargeable Eneloop battery and it is still going strong. Amazing.Oh, there is more. By shorten it, it will take a CR123 lithium battery. Holy gerbil. I can't imagine how bright and long lasting it will be then. Why are you still reading this? Buy it. Put one in your SHTF bag, one in your car, one in your night stand, etc... I promise you won't regret it.

they are very tough and make great presents, especially for just everyday use
For 25 bucks I can't complain. It is brighter than my Surefire and can use two different types of batteries. The only issue I've found after owning three of them is that when the battery dies, there is no warning. It just goes. There have been a couple occasions where I've suspected that moisture may have gotten to the lights causing some kind drain, but I can't be sure, although the coincidence was on the high scale. anyway, they are very tough and make great presents, especially for just everyday use. The high, low, strobe, function works very well/easily as compared to some of the more expensive lights I've seen. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one for my kids when they are old enough to drive, etc.

Great little flashlight
Great little flashlight! Seems quite solidly made and textured surface makes it easy to hold. Also note the (removable) clip faces the rear of the light making it possible to clip to a baseball cap to serve as a makeshift headlamp if needed. Many flashlights that have this clip attached face forward making it only useful for carrying around - somewhat lame. I have only used AA batteries so far but for its size and price, the light output is surprisingly strong. The high setting is really bright. Bright enough to search for my black dog on a moonless night across the street against the treeline (80 yards or so). This from a single AA battery was really astounding; you've gotta love LED technology. The low setting is great for around the house, finding your way back to your tent without ruining your night vision, reading, or whatever else you can dream up for your modest illumination needs. The strobe is a fun feature; my son loves it. However to use to disorient an intruder, you first have to full click once, then partial click twice to reach this setting. I don't see the majority of us having the where-with-all to accomplish this in a timely fashion if a stranger was coming into the bedroom at 3AM. Still cool though. There have been many reviews regarding failure of this unit when dropped on a hard surface (tile, concrete, etc.) which has amplified my caution when handling this unit. A utility light should be able to take some abuse so if you're someone for whom your friends put away their good china, have gone through 3 iPhones, or regularly spills their coffee, maybe you'd want to look for a light with a better shock rating. I, however, hope to have this little guy for a long time. I would highly recommend this light.

GREAT light at an great price
I really, really like this flashlight. Small, sturdy, well-made, bright, and much easier to operate than my wife's Streamlight.I also prefer the beam that this light throws, compared to her Streamlight. It's a beautiful round spot, with a 'halo' of dimmer light around the spot.Construction is first rate-solid metal (Aluminum) with nicely machines threads on the sections where they screw together.Three modes of operation: Full, dim (about 10% I believe) and tactical flashing/disorienting.It always starts in full. Then a light push on the rear button changes it from full bright to dim, and a second push changes it to flashing. With the Streamlight, you have 0.4 seconds to make a change, and it often takes me several attempts to make the change. But not on this light-the change works easily and works every time.Hard to imagine how this could be made better. Highly recommended.

Great light Great value.
Great pocket flashlight for the money. I own several flashlights with multiple modes and this one it the only one in my collection that always returnes to the same mode, in this case bright mode. Turn on the flashlight and it will always be on bright, once on simply tap the switch to change to low or strobe. Bright mode is intense enough to be a good working light in a pinch, low mode is low enough to to use close up without blowback from the light making your eyes uncomfortable and strobe mode makes it an effective defense or signal light. The clip is much sturdier than average and overall the internals seem to be well made. Quality is similar to my S&W M&P flashlight I have used for 5 years now. Removing the cylinder extention will not only make it even smaller for pocket carry the cr123a batter it will then require makes the light even brighter. I also have the remote pressure switch for this light. Same method of mode switching as the clicky button. Squeeze and hold, the light is on bright. Squeeze, release, squeeze again rapidly to change modes. I thought this light mihht even go on my AR-15 but it is simply no match for the 260 lumen light I already hqve on it but this light has replaced my 7 year old edc flashlight. I never thought I would find anything that would take its place.
