Perfect for memory care patients
Our dad was using his cell and regular home phone to call the family twenty times a night. We had to take these phones from him but still wanted something he could get incoming calls on in his memory care facility. No buttons. Incoming only. Exactly what we needed.

Lobby phone has buttons under the cover...
I purchased this no dial pad "Lobby Phone" after reading a review for a similar one (different color, different seller.) That review noted that the thin plastic cover on the right covered recessed, unmarked buttons that still allowed one to make outgoing calls once a person removed the cover...I did not attempt to call out, but I did find the thin clear plastic cover with an opaque colored insert under it quite easy to remove from the phone. The removable plastic cover has six very small tabs that hold it in place. Once removed, there are recessed, unmarked buttons that one could easily push using a pencil or fingernail. One would just need to remember how the numbers are assigned since the buttons are unmarked. Again, I did not attempt to call out by pushing the recessed, unmarked buttons, so I can't confirm that my buttons functioned. Another purchaser of a similar phone was able to make outgoing calls.I purchased this phone for my mom's room where she is a resident at a memory care center. The phone line in my mom's room is in my name since the memory care center only provides residents a local calling phone in the television room. There are other residents who also have dementia, and they are free to wander into each others' rooms. I did not want anyone dialing out long distance or international on the phone line in my mom's room. I also did not want any calls going out at all hours of the night. (My mom has been known to call me at 2:00...3:00...4:00AM when she can't sleep and starts worrying about stuff.)Knowing that this phone might possibly be able to make outgoing calls if the cover got removed, I went to the store and bought some super glue. The price of this phone was lower than others I looked at, and the cost of the super glue wasn't much. I removed the clear plastic cover and colored insert. I then brushed the super glue around the edge of the phone where I would replace the insert and cover. This seemed to help hold the insert and cover in place. Before the super glue, they were loose and obviously could be easily removed. After the super glue, they didn't move. (I also did not tell my mom that there were buttons underneath the cover. I did not want her to rip up the phone out of curiosity.)If the super glue solution ends up not working at some point, I'll post an update here. My mom has had the phone for three days now.***UPDATE***The super glue solution still works, and my mom continues to receive calls. She never did figure out that there were hidden buttons under the cover that I super glued.***UPDATE 3/6/14***The super glue solution continues to work and so does this phone.

Good for elderly
This is for my mom who has dementia! I can call her but it prevents her from calling 911 for no reason. She is well cared for in an assisted living facility. This is the second phone I ordered. The first one worked for about 6 months and went bad with static on the line. The new one is clear so far

a bit on the flimsy side
The phone did not come with a wall mount bracket (which I needed)and looked a little too cheap to install at my customers site. Mostly my fault.

Good for dementia patients!
Got this for my mom who is now in a memory care facility. While she might not understand who she's speaking with, it lets her feel connected. She can't dial out so she's not causing those issues.

Super simple
Works well in memory unit qsituation with cell service module. Wanted to eliminate dialing out in middle of night.
