Dog Diaries #8: Fala

Both history and a fun look at the life of the dog that played such a big part in the life of FDR. Seeing the life of a president from the eyes of his most faithful friend and companion will give children an understanding of this time in history. My grandchildren love these books and we talk about them after they have finished reading them. It is amazing to see the historical content they picked up while enjoying the story of something as simple as the family dog.

I've always liked to read about Fala. I have Scotties myself. It's no wonder FDR liked Fala and I am glad he was honored at the FDR memorial

It was an interesting little book to read. I think more for children than adults, but nice addition to my scotty book collection.

My granddaughter now has the entire series and loves these.

Great book to introduce my grandchildren to grandma's new puppy. Scottish Terrier are special doggies. Abbey is my forever and ever dog.
