Hobbico Superstar .40 Monokote ARF Airplane

I learned how to fly RC with this exact trainer 16 years ago! It was super easy to build. I was also a beginner at that as well. The guy who taught me also made me put this ARF together under his supervision. And I'm glad he did! He and I went on to build several more airplanes. Most were actual kits where you had to build everything.Anyway, this trainer was easy to fly. Takes off very easily and lands just as easy.As a matter of fact I just ordered one off Amazon to replace my original one since I traded it all those years ago for a more advanced airplane. Although I'm an advanced pilot these days and no longer need a trainer. I still want to have the one that started it all for me in my collection! The Superstar 40! It's a classic!Get one before they stop making them! You won't regret it believe me! ;)Btw, I powered mine with an OS .46 LA motor. And it flew great on that engine. Not to much power. But also not to little. Just the right amount if you ask me. The engines are no longer available from OS. However you can find them on ebay quite often.

This plane is a great first plane if you want to start flying nitro planes. It is really easy to put together with minor modifications. Mine was assembled in a few days but could easily be done in just one. The plane is a good quality one. I would recommend to anyone who wants to start flying with nitro!
