Great hair dryer and very reasonably priced!
I love this Hot Tools Turbo Hair Dryer. The dryer is lightweight but feels strong enough to be sturdy. It does not overheat in your hands and the material of the dryer itself is smooth and fit easy to hold on to. It has adequate power settings so you can adjust and not burn your hair to dry too quickly. It is also a really good value for the money as I checked this same set out at Sally's and it was $20 more. A good quality product for a fair and reasonable price.

Great dryer for the salon (see details). Highly recommended
Short of getting a Dyson hair dryer, I really wasn't sure what to get for my salon work. The requirements were that it had to actually get hot, it had to have an easy-to-use cold shot button, it had to have controls that I wouldn't accidentally change the setting of through normal handling, and it should be well enough made that I not have to get a new dryer every 6-12 months. After getting Amazon search blindness, I finally settled on the HOT TOOLS Professional 1875W Turbo Ceramic Rainbow Hair Dryer. Sure, the rainbow accent matches my shears, but what really drew me to this dryer was the brand. Hot Tools has been around a while, and I would expect this item to be fairly durable. It has a 7 year warranty, but I haven't really seen what that claim process looks like. As it is, the unit is lightweight, but feels like it has good build quality. The soft-touch/sueded texture feels nice to the touch, but may not wear well over time. The positioning of the temp and speed controls is great. While the cold shot button is placed really well, I wish it were kind of concave, instead of convex. The air gets sufficiently hot, and dries hair quickly. Oh, and I LOVE the rainbow trim. The dryer overall is gorgeous. At 8' the cord is great for a salon station, though it may be a bit much for a small bathroom. As far as the value proposition of this dryer goes, I think it's quite good. The unit works well, has good controls, and seems to be built to last. Sure, there are cheaper hair dryers, but how many of those do you need to buy before you realize that you should have just bought a better, more expensive one, in the first place? Highly recommended

Great hair dryer.
This hair dryer is powerful and has a low heat setting which is what I wanted for my long fine hair. It just takes minutes to dry my hair.

2100 model is very lightweight
This review is specifically for the 2100 model (previously referred elsewhere to as the feather weight or ultra lightweight) I have purchased this featherweight model more than once; the first one died about four years after purchase and I’m currently on year three of using the second one. BIGGEST pro (of the 2100 model) is that it is very lightweight. The 1.65 pound weight description is posted ONLY because it also includes the weight of the cord and accessory; the weight actually of the dryer body itself alone is just LESS than a full pound. it is because of that reason that I have purchased this multiple times as nothing else in this price range even comes close and every ounce matters with neck and hand problems. The CONS for me personally is noise level (moderate) AND the cold shot button is only a cool non heated blast (not truly cold) at best. I would consider these dryers moderately sturdy at best - if they get knocked off the counter frequently it is likely to damage the internal workings as I’ve given them as gifts before and the users reported damage after a couple of drops onto the tile floor That being said, the hot setting is definitely hot, the warm setting is perfect for most things, and the cold setting is simply unheated air. It works for my physical needs and is blissfully lightweight and I definitely plan to keep using it as long as it keeps being manufacturer :)

It worked for only 5 weeks - It works now
Revising my review- after following the troubleshooting options I was able to get the dryer to work. I don't usually write reviews but I needed to for this hair dryer. It worked great until it didn't, it stopped getting hot....no heat at all. of course it is right after the return window closed. I had another older version of this that lasted at least 10 years. I guess they don't make things like they use to. Super disappointed as this is not a cheap dryer.

Excellent hair dryer, Extreamly light weight, Cost effective
This is my 2nd Hot Tool hair dryer. First one lasted about 10 years! I was leary to buy another after reading reviews of others that said they burn out quickly. After a lot of searching for a light weight hair dryer I couldn't find another with the same power, light weight, and low cost. I've been useing it for a couple months and all is good! I highly recommend this hair dryer if you need the power and hate the weight of some of them. And of course, it's a LOT cheaper!

You get what you pay for
Does its job, but a week or two in the low setting completely stopped working. So it only works on high but on medium setting if that makes sense. Cold setting works and medium but if I use hot - I can see the coil turn red. I was too late to return or replace it so I bought two more hair dryers in case this one breaks It was an okay hairdryer, standard bulky size. Feels like plastic, some other brands don’t feel like this kind

As another reviewer said, the handle gets scarily hot when used on the hot setting. I assumed it would be a defect with only one of the products, but this is awful. It's been over 30 days since I purchased the product, so I cannot return. To deal with the manufacturer warranty, I will have to phone the company in Texas. Avoid!!
