Affordable, Easy to Assemble, Durable, and Fully Functional
I work from home, using my computer. Sitting at my desk from ten to twelve hours a day has gotten to be uncomfortable, particularly as I grow older, and I am sure it's not the healthiest way to live. Over the past year or so, I have tried alternating between a couple of different chairs, as well as using inflatable cushions, and kneeling chairs. These have alleviated the problem somewhat, but still I am sitting for long periods of time each day. A couple of years ago, I had ordered a standing desk but it turned out to be more like a music stand, and it wasn't very sturdy, so I didn't trust it with my MacBook. I ordered one of these a few weeks ago because it was easily affordable, yet looked durable. When it arrived, I was initially dismayed because of all of the parts that I had to put together, that being one of the least favorite tasks for me. However, I found the directions to be intuitive, and the task of assembling the desk easy. I will admit that I yelled at it a couple of times but, compared to other things that I have had to put together, this was a dream. The completed desk is indeed sturdy, and everything that I had hoped for. It is adjustable to pretty much any desired height, and easily lowered to a comfortable sitting desk height when I'm tired of standing. So now, I spend my mornings at the standing desk, using my MacBook. Since I am not used to standing for long periods of time, I stand for a while, then sit for a while, but I expect that the periods of time in which I can stand will increase before long. In the afternoon, I go downstairs to my office and sit at my desk with my iMac, alternating between my office chair and my kneeling desk. After supper, I'll usually return to the standing desk for the remainder of my working day. So I can give this five stars without hesitation. It was affordable. It was fairly easy to assemble, and the completed product is durable, as it uses hardware that shouldn't easily loosen over time as so many other products I have purchased have done. It is functional, and it does what I want it to do. As an added plus, it also looks good. A week after I began using mine, my wife wanted one, so we ordered a second one.

Great 4 Testing Out a Standing Desk
Perhaps you're like me: tired of suffering from what author Robin Lee Hatcher has dubbed "numb butt" on her blog. Numb Butt! So true - along with a back ache, for me, at times. I write for a living, and I can spend most of my workday typing on a keyboard, staring at a screen. When I'm on a roll, hours can pass as I type away - feet not moving, legs not moving, butt not moving, fingers flying. Not good. Add to this the online research I stumbled upon that sitting for too long at a stretch is very bad for you, physically. It detrimentally impacts your blood vessels and kidney function and things. Eww. I was ready for change. Robin was, too: she wrote about investigating a treadmill desk. Walk while you write? I thought that was great but I didn't have the space for it. Okay, fine - that's true enough, but the bigger reason was I didn't have an extra $5K laying around to test out a fancy treadmill desk to see if I'd actually use the thing. So, when I saw I could buy the Techni Mobili Mobile Laptop MDF Cart with Storage for under sixty bucks and get free shipping from Amazon, I was sold. I'm very happy with it, and I think you might be, too. Here's why: 1. It doesn't have a big footprint so it doesn't take up that much space in the room. 2. It's adjustable in height, so you can set the laptop desk to the right height for you. Maximize your comfort level, set it, done. 3. It has a couple of little storage thingies where you can stow stuff if you'd like. 4. It's cheap. Compare the cost of this product to other standing desks, and this gives you lots of bang for your buck. Especially if you don't know if you are gonna use the thing or not. 5. It looks okay. It's not pretty, really. It's obviously not real wood. It's MDF and it shows. But heck, it's a standing desk not a coffee table. I'm fine with it. Especially at this price point. 6. It's sturdy. I put this together myself, and while I was worried (and some friends are, well, shocked) that it would wiggle like jello when I was done with it - nope. It's a good little soldier and I entrust my beloved laptop to its desktop regularly (like right now). Is it perfect? No. The assembly isn't easy though the instructions are clear and they even give you your own screwdriver. It took me awhile to get this baby put together. It wasn't a simple task to get the screws to go where they were supposed to fit. Cagey little devils. I used their screwdriver, though, and maybe a better model or some powered-up gizmo would have made things better. So, the assembly is the hurdle you must jump to get from the benefit of a great price to the thrill of working standing up instead of setting down. Big whoop. That hurdle isn't enough for me to lower this from 5 stars to 4 stars. I really, really love working at a standing desk and this product has been worth every penny. I highly recommend it. - Reba Kennedy

Sturdy but not portable
Had hoped to have something a little more portable from facility to facility. This is a little too heavy and not collapsible, which was clear before buying. Very easy to construct and very sturdy, just not portable.

Easy to assemble, sturdy, and adjustable as described.
The podium arrived on time, was very easy to assemble, is sturdy, yet light weight. I am able to adjust the height and tilt, easily wheel it around the school, and store items including books, binders, and a pencil case. I typically place my water bottle on the shelf, use the stand for my laptop and course book (the lip prevents them from falling off when at an angle). I can lean on it a little, and prop my foot on the base, with no issues. The quality is good for a good price.

Exceeded expectations on all fronts.
This stand exceeded my expectations in terms of the quality of design, construction and ease of assembly. The stand has a nice area for magazines, with a small nook for mice or headphones above it. The "deck" rises and lowers easily and fits most chairs or recliners with just enough space under it for small devices, phones, etc. There is ample space for a mouse to be used with 15 inch laptops and otherwise. There are two locking wheels which help keep it from moving on smooth surfaces. However there is enough heft to this stand to keep it from randomly wandering with a light push. Notes for those looking to buy. The stand is "wrapped" in a wood grain surface coating I personally haven't encountered before. Visually it is actually very nice, and it has taken most punishment that normal use has given to it. However I wager that a sharp object or destructive teenager could likely peel it away with effort. I wouldn't rate this as a negative, and given how other furniture from China is using rougher and cheaper wood, this actually is a very nice solution to the sometimes crude look and feel that comes with it. It is exceptionally easy to assemble. The instructions and design were very well though-out and clear. The photo makes it look like the stand is on a triad of wheels, but there are four of them. Indeed I had worried about stability but the rear wheels are spread wide (though out of site in product photos) and it is entirely stable in normal use. The "handle" bar seen on the deck is very firmly attached and is useful for pulling the stand from place to place without worry about damage. The deck supports are deeply embedded in the stand itself running from attachment points below the bottom panel, through the mid-deck to strong mount points on the computer level itself. There are two clasping locks to hold the deck at any level you telescope it up or down too. Again, just simply well designed and well made. This did cost a bit more than cheaper stands, but the small cost difference yields a huge bonus. This is a nice bit of furniture that will look at home most anyplace, gives very high function and value for the price, and would buy another if need comes along.

I love this laptop cart!!
I love this laptop cart! I'm an elementary school teacher, and I bought this cart for my classroom. Many classrooms at our school have an interactive projector, and I'm lucky enough to be one of those classrooms. I struggled for a while to find the best way to manage my laptop and the multiple cords that dangled from the oddly placed outlet over the cabinet to my desk where my laptop usually sat. Later, I acquired a document camera, and while it's great having one, that was one more device and cord I had to manage in a not-so-spacious desk area. I knew I needed a better solution, and that's when I came on Amazon in search of the perfect laptop cart for my needs (because I'm clearly of the mindset that if Amazon doesn't have it, then it must not exist!). Well, sure enough, I found this little beauty, and IT IS PERFECT! It's made of solid materials, is very sturdy, has adjustable height, and its slim profile will fit just about anywhere. It offers great little storage spots for items you want at your fingertips, and one of the best features to satisfy my needs is the little shelf under the laptop tray...my document camera fits perfectly there, and a sheet of paper fits nicely between the bars on the shelf. The instructions were easy to follow, and I was able to assemble it by myself in about 2 hours, using the small screwdriver they included in the box. It would have gone much quicker if I had used my cordless power drill (which was at home, and I assembled it at school), because many of those screws were very difficult to drive through the solid pieces by hand. (Yes, our custodians later yelled at me for not asking them to borrow theirs.) I'm someone who bases my purchases highly on customer reviews, so I knew I had to write one for this product. I know I'm just one little person in the massive world of Amazon shoppers, and it's just one of many opinions you're looking at... but I have one more thing to mention that may be helpful for you to know. I lead a PD workshop in my classroom last week and had 23 other teachers asking me about my laptop cart, "oohing and ahhing" over it, and asking me where I got it and how much it was. Of course I enthusiastically shared with them that I got it on Amazon and it's totally worth the $58! I'm sure many of them will be buying their own now because they were able to see how awesome it is. In case you can't tell, I highly recommend this cart, and apparently 23 other teachers would too!

Perfect Solution for Computerized Long Arm Quilting Setup
My Bernina Q24 with Q-Matic computer robotics came with a Dell touch screen computer mounted to the long arm frame, but many tasks for programming the computer to quilt are faster and easier with a keyboard or more precise with a mouse. I tried attaching a keyboard tray to the long arm frame right beneath the monitor initially but that was constantly in my way. This movable stand is so much better because I can pull it up to the computer when I need it and then roll it out my way. It's stable and sturdy and adjusted to a comfortable standing height for me, and I love that it has storage for my machine manual and reference books as well as frequently used tools. Great value for the price. The only downside was that it came "assembly required."

Okay: Techni Mobili Sit-to-Stand Rolling Laptop Cart
11/28/2024: Overall, the Techni Mobili Sit-to-Stand Rolling Adjustable Height Laptop Cart is an okay product. I gave it three stars as the laminate was not glued properly by the screw holes, the plastic cover broke, and item seems smaller when compared to the pictures. Product pictures make it seem a lot bigger. But, after putting it together, it’s a lot smaller than I thought. Although dimensions may be provided, you don’t really know the size of it until you start building it. AlI parts were present and no parts were damaged; arrived on date as advertised. I took a picture with my PlayStation 4 (PS4) on top and a cleaning spray to give you an idea of the size. No problems with screwing in pieces but the laminate over the holes were not cleanly cut; quality lacking in that department. I had to use my screwdriver to open up the holes and noticed the laminate coming up as it wasn’t glued properly. I was close to finishing and then the plastic cover cracked; funny thing, it always seems like things break as soon as you’re about to finish a project. Please see picture I took with screwdriver in between to see damage. I didn’t use any power tools to build it; just good ol’ hand strength. I sent an email to customer support to request replacement pieces so I’ll see if RTA gets back to me and delivers. I haven’t had too many things break on me before when building things so this worries me that the plastic cover broke which pretty much bears all the weight on the top shelf. The top shelf is rated for 20 pounds but after the plastic cover broke, I’m not too sure that I trust the product enough to put my PS4 at a raised height in fear the plastic cover strength seems weak and may break and, D’oh, there goes my PS4 broken on the ground. 12/10/2024 (update): RTA, the manufacturer, provided me replacement plastic covers. I contacted them on 11/28/2024 and the next day they already sent the part. I received the replacement parts on 12/20/2024 (13 days later). Works for me :)

Well designed
Im impressed by this rolling cart. Comes well packaged, there is of course assembly, but the actual quality of the material used in construction was quite good. A nice finish, large laptop area... and coffee lvl below the top table. Top will not drop low enough to crush your cup, so safe usage of that feature. It seems to be very well engineered, so assembly went very smooth. They not only provided the screwdriver to assemble it with, they also provided spare parts (a few screws, bolts, fasteners). Its a well thought out package, delivering a professional appearance. I will buy another.

Excellent Quality & Design!
This product is worth every penny! It's perfect for Zoom meetings from anywhere and for those who prefer to do presentations or talks standing up. The quality of the materials and workmanship is fantastic. There is a QR code or YT video prompt for every step needed to assemble and they include a sturdy screwdriver for the purpose. There was zero!! gassing off of any of the materials so it could be used immediately (sometimes we have to relegate items to the garage for weeks before they can live with us due to severe allergies). The design is intuitive; allows just the right amount of space for notebooks &/or devices from the base to beneath the desk top. The wheels run smooth as silk on our wood floor and make it easy to move back and forth into position. The only concern is that it's absolutely sturdy until you try to put it up to the highest setting so the tallest person (over 6') may find that a little challenging.
