I purchased both the male and the female. I was extremely disappointed that the male has a flat gash over an inch long out of the top of his beak all the way down to the shiny aluminum. The shiny silver against the otherwise antique bronze was extremely noticeable. We were able to disguise the damage somewhat by coloring the bright silver black and blending it in but up close you can still see that the top of the beak isn't as it should be. Also, the foot pad on the female is curved up on either end so she can't stand upright on her own. Because of this there is no option to place them on a deck or patio as she will have to be staked in dirt and her feet weighted down in order to remain upright. Because we were planning on using them both in the flower garden anyway it is not worth the trouble of returning them but these were an expensive addition to our garden and for this much money quite frankly I expected better quality.

I was skeptical about ordering this bird, but it replaced an antique device that the previous property owner placed in our landscaping. This bird is majestic and from a distance really looks like a real bird. I'm very happy with this purchase. I sat him on a flat rock with the intention of drilling a hole in the rock to use as a hold down point. I've never gotten around to doing that, but through wind and rain the bird just stands in place without being knocked over.

I bought the male and female sand cranes. Their price was cheaper than other brands so I was a little nervous. When they arrived, I knew I had made a good choice. I love their bronze tone and they are well made. They stand up inside on a flat surface but for outside use, I will probably need longer stakes than what was provided. During shipping the male's beak was damaged. Inside tha package was a note saying that the company, Well Traveled Living, had unmatched customer service so I called them. They lived up to their claim. They immediately sent a new one. I love the product and the service!

Got this male and thefe male to ornate a garden area in my backyard. We have resident sand hill cranes that live in the neighborhood so these were perfect for my garden. They are a good weight - we recently had a wind storm with winds 30+ mph coming straight at them and they didn't fall. We have solar spot lights aimed at them so they light up at night. Love them.....very happy with the purchase.

Great crane to keep the herons away from our pond. To make a crane stay away permanently attach either string or cut landscape blocker into a beard and place around its neck. A crane will see it blowing in the wind and will never return. For added measures you must rotate your statue cranes every three days...cranes and herons are very smart if they see their positions change they won't return especially if its a male with a beard. Very territorial.

Exceeded my expectations. Excellent quality. Only complaint are the tiny little stakes to secure this beauty to the ground. I bored out the small holes in the base and pounded in a couple of 10 inch spikes. It ain’t going anything now. As recommended, rubbed it down with mineral oil to protect the finish, it shines beautifully

It will look great in our front yard and will require a lot less maintenance than a plant. This is important to us, as we are not as young as we once were.

This crane sculpture is beautiful. It is well made and looks great in my front yard. I highly recommend it!

Bought a pair back in 2011, one got stolen in 2013, this is a replacement so the remaining one will not be that lonely. Quality are the same but the price of this one is more than the pair I paid for back in 2011.
