Love Letters Of Great Men - Vol. 1

I bought this after watching a few decades of Sex and the City followed by the first movie. This book has many poems that are a huge part of two main characters’ story line. This book doesn’t disappoint. You get short biographies on each author for context. People no longer take the time to express their feelings and love this way. It is now short texts and even shorter phone calls. Very meaningful and wonderful book.

Great read. Love how it was written, very smooth to follow through with. I love that it tells you who they are and their love interests and accomplishments in life after the love letter is done.

This book is so beautiful to read. it's amazing how people used to write passionately. It's becoming a lost art. I've been enjoying each love letters and some of them, after reading a background information of the writers, are quite shocking. This is a good classic book for anyone who is passionate and loves good writing.

I will admit, yes, I bought the book because, like many people, I saw it on Sex & The City, and was genuinely intrigued to read the poems myself. I had the book delivered and read all of the poems on the same night, only to realize that it was merely like my title suggests, a nostalgic purchase indeed. I decided to rate this 4/5 because there were a few moments where I smiled to myself after reading the poems, for both the reasons of the expression of love written on paper, and for noticing the occasional typo.

Love it!! Fun little book with nice letters of love. Each to their own, beautiful in it’s own way. I must say the French do have a way with words, but it’s assuming to see a variety of levels of passion and word choice from such famous men!

Enjoyed reading it and looking into purchasing the next book written.

Some of the selections aren’t very good but others more than make up for them. Lyrical letters from times long past pouring love onto the pages.Great gift for the romantic.

I love this book. Reading letters and memoirs is my favourite kind of reading.I hope there are many more of these books to buy on Amazon. The writers of the letters use eloquent language to convey their feelings.The letters mean something,and have passed down the generations. Sending a text or an E mail just doesn’t cut it. If I have any criticism,it would be to say that there aren’t enough letters in this volume.I see there is a second volume ! That’s double bubble.x

Sex and the City fans will love it. Best read with a Cosmopolitan cocktail in hand a Manolos on the feet.

If only we didn’t have internet, we to could receive such romantic letters. Sigh. A beautiful book to enjoy on a cloudy Sunday afternoon.

When i first bought this book, I bought it after being heavily influenced by the Sex & The City Movie. However, now that I’ve read it, i’m glad I have it. This book delves deep into letters famous men have written to their significant others, and the words they’ve used to describe their yearning transports you straight into their hearts. I love this book. a 10/10 from me!
