AMAZING SCRAPPER!! I got a cheap scrapper that was $13 a few years ago. It was much smaller. It was magnetic, and I had to tie a string on both pieces while cleaning. I've used it a few times inside the tank, but I've barely used it. I decided to get this one and it's much stronger and more effective. This size covers more surface area and it comes with a scrapper. I found it difficult learning how to flip the inside in the beginning. All I did was detach the outside piece from the glass so the inside can float a bit. You basically want to lose some of the magnetic attraction. Then I flipped the outside handle 180 degrees. Once I did that, I brought the inside piece closer, and it began flipping to the other side. I was able to use the scrapper side. I repeat the same steps to use the other side. I got used to it. I recommend this scrapper to help clean your tank.

I’m always skeptical of buying things and read the reviews. But this really did the job. It’s small but the blade side did take off my stubborn algae. Don’t get me wrong it could have a stronger magnet and mine did t really float, and you still have to scrub from outside, it’s not magic but it does take it off a lot easier than the scrub brush and having your arm wet!!!

I’ve had aquariums for more than 20 years. I’ve been using those long handled aquarium scrub brushes for years. I really didn’t enjoy cleaning my aquarium glass. The scrub brush didn’t do that great of a job and it dripped water everywhere. Plus it was a pain to store. Then I was watching a fish keeping video on YouTube and saw the Flipper. It looked so much more effective and easier to use/store than what I had been using. I bought one for my 36 gallon bow front aquarium. It seemed a little pricey for a glass scrubber but after using it for awhile, it’s worth every penny! I initially had a difficult time figuring out what the written directions meant but that might just be me. I was able to find a YouTube video that explained what was meant by rotating the handheld part to get the scrubber part inside my aquarium to flip. After that it was super easy to use. I store mine inside my tank which is convenient. The razor side does an excellent job at removing those little specks of algae that stubbornly stick to the glass the scrubber part removed biofilm easily. The magnet is strong and I’ve never had the part inside my tank float away. My glass has never been so clean! I liked it so much that I put a smaller version for my 10 gallon tank on my Wishlist and got it for Christmas. I really wished I had learned about the Flipper sooner. It’s a much better way to clean the glass than what I had been using.

I was a little apprehensive about spending almost $40 for a tank scraper, but this works great. The magnet is strong enough to work on 3/8” thick glass without any issues. I have a second tank and I will be purchasing one for it in the near future

WOW, sure does the job as far as cleaning - by far has cleaned a lot more than my other magnet scrubbers, I guess the scraper does the job, my only complaint is the magnet is weak, same as my previous ones (other name brands) - and a little inconvenient that you have to flip it to use the scrubber only which alone not so great, at the end of the day the scraper is the key here!

My aquarium glass is 3/4" thick and other magnets don't hold. This one holds perfectly. Very strong magnet.

The blade doesn't scrape the algae off as well as the larger model.
