A British Staple....
Marmite is a British must have on every breakfast table in England. Not for the faint of heart as it has a unique taste. You either love it or hate it and I love it! On buttered toast it's sublime but also will add an umami taste to soups and stews. Try it. You just might like it!

It's MARMITE!
What can you say? You either love this stuff or you hate it, so maybe classify it in the same category as fresh cilantro leaves? LOL I personally enjoy sharp, fermented flavors and since I must avoid wheat and gluten, I sure do miss the taste of a good, yeasty bread. This is NOT baking yeast and it most often used as a bread spread. I don't use it in its traditional spread capacity, but it's fabulous for me as a flavorant, and yes, I've included it in bread recipes, not for any leavening effects, but for flavor. (You have to use a good bit to get any taste of it in the finished product.) For me, well... I'm happy to have it in my house and will no doubt continue to put it into salad dressings, recipes, etc "just because." I suppose, if you are familiar with using miso paste in a recipe, this might be something that you'd use in similar fashion, though the tastes are not the same and are not supposed to be.

A delicious food for a certain kind of person.
First-time eater of Marmite here. Use this review accordingly. I'm rating this as a five-star product because it's successfully Marmite. It's the only thing that is what it is. There is no comparison. You buy Marmite; you either receive exactly what you ordered, or you don't. I got it. This is Marmite, of the same quality as all other Marmite. 5 stars. Now let's talk about the taste. I read all the reviews of what Marmite might taste like before I bought it, and frankly I found them all to be inaccurate. The first sensation that hits your mouth is not saltiness, it's bitterness. Marmite is an incredibly bitter food. Most people don't like bitter foods, but I do. If you're the type of person who finds yourself gravitating to things like India Pale Ale or raw rhubarb, you should give Marmite a try - it fits right in. Some of you are reading this right now and thinking, "Why on EARTH would I eat raw rhubarb?" If this describes you, then do yourself a favor and don't buy Marmite. There'd be no point. Still, there are people out there like me, who gravitate toward these things. I put Marmite and butter on bread and then add two slices of muenster cheese, and I find this to be an absolutely delicious, nutritious sandwich. Would you like it? Maybe, but only if you're like me and you tend to gravitate toward stuff like this.

Fine but pricey
Arrived timely, in good condition, and with best-buy date a year away. Overpriced at $22 for two tiny 125g jars, but I needed these at the moment.

Love this stuff. This is the only Marmite brand for me! Good for you too!
Love this stuff. This is the only Marmite brand for me! Marmite also has amazing health benefits! Marmite is packed with B vitamins (not just B3) that are essential for good health – containing so much per serving that you can probably do away with taking expensive B supplements. A single serving contains 17pc of your recommended daily allowance of Vitamin B1 (thiamin), 18pc of B2, and 36pc of B3. According to a recent study, magnesium – a mineral that's abundant in Marmite – can help us all get better shut eye. Scientists believe it calms the body's nerves, hence relaxing muscles and improving our slumber. You'd need to eat quite a lot of Marmite – roughly two small jars – to get your recommended daily intake of 375mgs. However, add it to two slices of wholemeal toast in the morning (each of which will provide around 8pc of that RDI) and you'll be well on the way to sleeping well come nightfall. 2. It can help prevent dementia In April this year, a scientific study suggested that the cult British foodstuff could help boost brain power and stave off dementia. Researchers from York University said the high concentration of Vitamin B12 in the yeast extract increases levels of chemicals in the brain which are thought to protect against neurological disorders. Participants in the study ate a teaspoon of Marmite per day and were found to have increased levels of a neurotransmitter known as GABA, said to calm the brain and soothe the effects of anxiety. The effects were noted for eight weeks after the study was completed, suggesting that the health benefits of the inimitable brown spread could have a long term impact on the body.

El anuncio es poco claro. Yo entiendo pack de 2 13,82 euros, y resulta que es 1 ud. 13,82 euros, es decir sale el kg a 110 euros cuando hay anuncios en los que el kg sale a 38 euros. Alucinante
