These work fine but the clip should lock - how to fix that
These work fine, but they are even better with a few adjustments. I personally prefer a clip that has a lock, like the ones used for babies to hold their pacifiers, as they do not pull off easily. I bought a bag of pacifier clips cheap on Amazon and replace the clip that comes with these. They have a larger end (they are made for ribbons rather than this type of cord), but they work fine. For those who want to prevent loss using the existing clip, take the silicone cord out and fold it in half. Insert the center area of that folded cord into the hole about an inch, then pull the rest of the cord through that loop. I then put the silicone ring over the tied area. If it is not staying, you can tie a knot too but I try to avoid that as it wears the silicone over time. This method is also what I use to attach the cord to pacifier holders. Just make sure that you put the lanyard through your hearing aids in a place where it will not accidentally turn your hearing aids off or change the volume. My ones have a rocker switch and I put the loop ends into the center of that. My audiologist says that method is fine -- you just don't want to get the cord ON the ends of the rocker switch. Different hearing aids may require different placement. I've attached a picture of what mine looks like with a pacifier clip. I did use a knot on the very end, but the cord is old and needed a more secure hold. Hope this helps. Hopefully the company will change the current clip to a locking one, but all clips break eventually and having a bag of clip replacements gives you years of service on one cord.

Prevents Losing Hearing Aids!
We got this after our mom decided to take off her over-the-ear hearing aids and drop them in a cup of coffee. Since then, she's tried to repeat that feat with her new hearing aids but, thanks to the lanyard, been unable to do it. I'm impressed at how well the little plastic bands grip the body of the hearing aids; they stay right where I initially positioned them and don't slide and cover parts of the hearing aid they shouldn't.

I'd prefer the ease of the former elasticity over the struggle with the updated product.
These were changed from the ones got last time on which one of the loops broke, prompting me to order a replacement. These that I just received, the loops are so tight that it is a real struggle to get my hearing aids in them and then to get the hearing aids in their charger so they charge properly. A couple of time already, I've placed those in the charger still in the loops and, although the aids were charging after I did that, apparently to tension from the loops was so intense that by morning the loops had squeezed the aid up so that they were no longer charging and not operable when I went to put them in. Surely, there's a happy medium where they'll still hold the hearing aids to protect from loss but still allow them to charge.

Excellent Price, Good Quality, Many Pros vs Cons
The best hearing aid anti-loss lanyard that I have found on Amazon if you are unable to get one specifically designed by your H.A. manufacturer. I would have given its 41/2 🌟 if that was possible. I have not had it long enough to find out how long the elasticity will be adaquately maintained, but I liked it well enough to purchase a 2nd one, in part due to it's low price, I have found that you may often pay 2x this amount for comparable item. PROS: Strong plastic clip with thin profile ( see pic - the top smaller clip is the one being reviewed). Each of the 2 separate cords are good equal length but also rubberized with gives extra flexibility, allowing small catches of the cord without pulling strongly on hearing aid, allowing it to remain in place. The end of each cord ends on a flexible, approx. 1/4 inch loop molded at 90° to the cord itself, which is the ideal orientation that allows the cord to maintain a low profile . Since the end loops are made of the same rubberized material as the cord, they will fit different sizes of H.A. without having to change loops. Since the loops are not attached by a clip, there is no risk of detachment, which can happen with some other lanyards. I am able to keep the lanyard in place ( vs taking it on & off) while placing my hearing aids in recharger, which may prolong the life of the lanyard & is certainly more convenient. You can curl up the remainder of the lanyard G store it in the convenient plastic case included with purchase. There is a simple O-ring which slides up & down over the 2 flexible cords which reduces the amount of extra slack remaining for each cord, which is useful for children, especially those who are bothered by the feel of the extra slack on their neck or who tend to catch the cords on a regular basis as a result of the extra slack. CONS: It can be difficult to find the lever of the clip that opens clip to allow removal of clip from shirt/ jacket due to it's very low profile & the lever lying even lower than the mostly flat profile of the remainder of the top surface ( as can be seen in the photos - the smaller tab is the one that needs to be lifted), making it hard to distinguish when you are reaching behind to removed clip from yourself, which is why I would take 1/2 point off. If you are wondering why I rated it 4 🌟 vs 5 🌟, since I listed so many pros, it is because I would rate it between 4 🌟 & 4 1/2 🌟 rather than closer to 5 🌟 due to the difficulty learning to & actually lifting that small tab. Under the most ideal conditions, the manufacturer would raise the profile of the tab sl. or add some kind of catch notch to make it easier to find & lift the tab. Alternatly, you can actually pull the top of your shirt/jacket around closer to the front until you can visualize the clasp -- although I am not sure that is an ideal way to treat your shirt/jacket & you do look a little like a child when doing so, oh well.
