EZE-LAP EZLPACK-BRK Diamond Sharpener Set, Asst

Got these to sharpen a few router bits. I've used them a few times and they work well. They seem well built, and after sharpening my 1/2in shank 2 inch slab flattening bit a few times they show no signs of wear. They were easy to use with the plastic handles, and have the 3 most useful grits. They are exactly what I expected, if not better quality than expected, and a good price. I would definitely buy these again, but don't expect to need to for a long time. The plastic sleeve is nothing fancy, but separates them and keeps them clean and organized.

I'm a machinist and have been using these (mainly on carbide tooling) for at least 25 years, and they work extremely well. They are cheap enough, durable, do a good job, easy to hold if you have meat hooks like me... what's not to like? I bought these as replacements for older ones that are wearing out, but remember, "wearing out" really just means that they are a finer grit now. One nice feature about these is that the handle is about .16" thick, starts to taper down slowly at about 1.25" length, and at about .1" takes a 30ish degree angle down to the .025" thick diamond medium/metal base that just barely hangs over the plastic handle by about .01", which means you can get into really tight areas that you simply can't with a wood mounted diamond hone. I've even machined the plastic handle away on the back side of the tip so there is about .05" of .025" thick medium. I've used them under microscopes, I've used them on knives, I've used them to relieve diamond tools (fine grade) and burnish diamond tools (20 year old fine grade, probably "ultra fine" now). The design hasn't changed, from what I can tell, in decades so I always know what I'm getting, and it is made in USA. Support US manufacturing, please! And now this set comes in a plastic pouch to organize and protect them; that is just icing on the cake! If you want some versatile, no frills, well made diamond hones at a reasonable price, take it from someone who knows... buy a set.

Pricey but worth it if you need good quality long lasting files

These are great little files for tuning up all kinds of edges in the shop. Everyone should have a set.

I use them primarily to sharpen fish hooks, their thin profile make them easy to use even on smaller hooks as well as bigger ones. They put a needle sharp point on the hooks easily and quickly. They work well even on small crappie jigs. They last a very long time without wearing out.

These mini pocket laps are excellent for Quickly honing an edge or taking a knick out of a blade. They do get jammed up with metal But that is to be expected, they have not gone dull And work well!

The Fine and Extra Fine were pretty good, but the Medium had an oily clump of something on it. I wiped it off and tried using it, but immediately noticed the diamonds were quickly wearing away. This didn't happen on the other two. Returning these.

Forget traditional knife sharpeners, these are the best way to get the "razor sharp" knife sharpener experience. Depends on how dull it is, as to which diamond tool to start with. I usually go to the blue ( super fine) when you slide this one over the blade a few times you can literally shave with it. Only a barber strap can do better !!!!!!
