I’ve been using these things for months now and they work very well. They stay sharp. I’ll have dachshunds that are always getting knots in their long fur. The fact that the blade is curved as an added bonus, which this is a good one tend to keep the blade away from their skin. Be careful!

Nice scissors but the part for your thumb is tight, quite small for both my husband & I so they hurt our thumb when using these to groom our dog.

I've tried electric clippers and various scissors to remove large mats from my older long haired cat. Nothing comes close to these. They are sharp to cut through thick mats but curved and blunt tip forsafety. I am still careful to make sure she is not cut, Mat removal is much more pleasant for both of us. They appear to be of very high quality.
