I read all the reviews for the different brands offering the same product. I was particularly interested in the reviews for the Sony dummy battery as I have a Sony 6400 and my experience with non-Sony battery products tend to lose their charge over a time period to less than 100%. whereas my Sony battery is still 100% when I charge it.So regarding the Dummy, I checked the Sony product 1st, and the most of complaints in their reviews were about the price of @$100, which I tend to agree is too expensive. I then decided to review the other options from different non-name brands most of which were negative, they didn't last long and stopped working etc. However I noticed the Kimaru was an Amazon choice product and it was only $20, the reviews were 80% positive, so I decided to gamble the $20 and ordered it. I'm glad I did, it works fantastic, last week I accidentally left it on overnight for 24 hrs and it still works and wasn't even hot when I realized it was still on the next day. I've had this product for 2 months with no problems. So it is worth it, but personally, I will only buy Sony when it comes to rechargeable batteries.

This product is great!👍🏼 Functions perfectly out of the box with my a6400 body. Is very easy to use and a great bargain for the functionality and benefits it will bring you at any of your photographic events. Usually at weddings and sweet 16th events you have a time when you will be stationary in a corner of the room taking posed photos of the family and friends on whatever background you prepared earlier for the event. That is when this product comes in handy. You can charge your batteries with your charger while taking the photos using this device. Another use will be if your batteries are already drained. You can work with this device while charging. The instruction manual is very useful and includes photos and descriptions for different camera models on how to installed and use. I recommend this product 👌🏼

Just what is needed for long-term exposures without using up battery power. This, coupled with a portable battery/110V supply can also be used for those "LONG" exposure times in astrophotography when camera batteries won't last long enough in the field.
