The tank is made by Clack, is a blue 9" diameter by 18" tall tank. The non-electric black in/out head has 3/4" threads on each side (comes with brass screw in hose adapters, not cheap plastic) and is about 3" tall, so about 21" total height needed if putting in a tight place. Weighs approx 25 lbs without water in it. 12,800 grain capacity of High capacity 8% cross linked softening resin. At 8 GPG hard water it wound last approx 1600 gallons between regenerations. You regenerate this unit manually with regular table salt and 15 min (directions included). I have a full retail shop in the Phoenix area where you can come meet me face to face (free local pickup), get your questions answered and shake my hand. You can pick up your equipment and get all your installation questions answered, or we can even install it for you, call for a quote. I'll give you honest advice. Difficutly getting it to seal
I just received the unit and for one it didn't come with any instructions. Is it ready to use? How do you regenerate it. This would be VERY useful information. About how long will it go before it needs regenerated? My other more important issue is I can NOT get it to seal. I have tightened all fittings, replaced the plumbers tape and it still leaks. Please recommend something. I can not continue to use it this way. The RV park will have a fit with all the water it is wasting. Thank you

This is a great unit, however...
This is a super nice, albeit a bit heavy, portable unit which we take on all our excursions with our new Airstream trailer. However, due to the design of the carrying handle, (the water softener, of course) it poses a real finger/hand crusher which one should be extremely cautious about. The unit can only be carried safely in an upright position. Any swing movement from center can and will result in a serious hand or finger injury Other than that, this unit will certainly serve an important asset for soft water portability. Once you use it, you'll never want to travel without it.Ciao

The cure for hard water.
Water Softener has cured the problem. Nice RV park but hard water. We live in motor home so this softener will follow us everywhere we go.

Great product! Have used in our motorhome for the last year and enjoy the many benefits of soft water. Easy to recycle.

Great unit!
Other than it is indeed bulky and heavy, and the fittings don't swivel, this unit works like a champ! Regenerating is easy if you simply follow the video on their website! I wish I'd purchased it years ago. NOTE: add your own 4" coil connections to either end first, and I use a hose splitter with shut-off's at the intake hose so I can get outside water as needed and not have to traipse all over to shut off the water for regenerating.You're welcome!
