The tool is very helpful for getting the screen off the iMac. The other end of the tool has a pick to help your pry the screen off when you have used the cutting tool to separate the adhesive.

Upgraded my 2013 iMac 21.5 to SSD and wanted proper replacement adhesive (without paying Apple prices!). After double checking this product would fit, I began the teardown, upgraded the SSD with ease (no thermal temperature leads required) and followed another product guide picture (instructions or a picture of these in place would have been nice!) - but these appear to be generic numbering with other manufacturers so not a problem.General adhesion is excellent although this is not a spungy adhesive (quite flat) but this is just what you need if you are upgrading SSD, memory or replacing your screen.I also cleaned the imac out at the same time. Being a 2013 (late 2.9ghz) it probably had quite a build up in there.All in I'm very happy for a great price too!

The opening tool worked very well and the quality of the strips was good. Unfortunately, the strips had been folded in half to fit in a small envelope for delivery, creasing the plastic backing strips. This made using the strips fiddly and slower than it should have been.

The kit in general was ok for removing the original Apple adhesive, however the replacement adhesive did not last 2 weeks. I had to tape the corners with electrical tape until I could find something more substantial. The adhesive is not strong enough to keep the screen attached to the iMac. Sorry I can not recommend this product as it is poor quality. Buyer beware, look for something with stronger adhesive. I ended up ordering a roll of 3M strong double sided tape.

I have just upgraded my iMac with a ssd and needed this list to reattach the screen. The small wheel makes it so easy to remove the screen from the adhesive and much safer to use than a blade or pick. Well worth the money. Top tip, take your time.

Leuk idee en makkelijk aan te brengen. Alleen na paar maanden gaat je scherm loszitten omdat de plakjes een beetje uitgewerkt zijn.

Ich habe das Set gekauft um den iMac 21" 2012 nach dem SSD Upgrade wieder zu verkleben.Leider wurde das erste Set unvollständig geliefert. Nach einer Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Verkäufer wurde ein Ersatz prompt nachgeliefert.Zum Set:1) Das Messer wirkt etwas schwach, allerdings habe ich keine Probleme gehabt den iMac damit aufzumachen, bzw. die Werksklebestreifen aufzuschneiden. Die Schneidekreise sind aus dem Plastik sind aber auch ausreichend.2) Klebestreifen sind fest genug um diese Bequem anzubringen. Der Kleber hält sehr gut. Hier muss man auch aufpassen, setzt man den Display falsch an, ist ein Verschieben nicht mehr möglich.Fazit: Das Klebeset ist komplett ausreichend um einen iMac 21" zu öffnen und wieder zu verkleben. Die Klebestreifen sind passgenau (zumindest für iMac 21" mid. 2012)
