Shofar Odor Neutralizer Spray by Peer Hastam®

PEOPLE POSTED HOW BAD SHOFARS SMELL, SO I PURCHASED THIS. IT SMELLS CLEANSING, I DID SPRAY MY BRAND NEW SHOFAR WITH IT WHEN I GOT IT, BUT IT DIDN'T NEED IT. WILL USE FOR BASIC CLEANING.

Knowing a shofar is from an animal, and thus has an odor, this product does a good job in neutralizing the "natural animal" odor. I don't know how it does this, but the product is effective in addressing the odor. Yes, you have to use it several times and sometimes just before you blow the shofar. The product label states that it is a "non-toxic biodegradable blend of basic floral extracts which eliminate all shofar scent." The spray is by Peer Hastam. Since I'm using this product, I find it sufficiently effective and strongly recommend its use.

I have found this neutralizer to be effective and better than some home style remedies I have tried. (hydrogen peroxide for example). Pleasant scent. The only thing to watch for is the fluid running out the other end of the shofar. I recommend spraying over a sink, tub, wastebasket, etc., or going outside.

I rarely write reviews, but this product astounded me. My shofar smelled like a dead creature. I looked online for how to clean a shofar. I soaked it in vinegar for 6 hours, and afterwards it smelled like vinegar and dead animal. My shofar is relatively big. I poured the entire little bottle in, plugged up one end with an ear plug, shook it all around, let it sit for one hour, and dead animal smell is gone. It is now 2 months later, and dead animal smell is still gone. It smells like flowers. Truly amazing product.
