Our family has been buying the Pre de Provence Artisanal Soap Bar, enriched with organic shea butter, for 5 years now, and we’re absolutely in love with it! This soap is pure luxury—the scent is heavenly (we’ve tried lavender, rose, and verbena, and they’re all amazing), and it fills the bathroom with a spa-like aroma. The organic shea butter makes it incredibly moisturizing; my skin feels so soft and hydrated after every use, even in the dry winter months. The bar is beautifully crafted, lathers up richly, and lasts a long time, which makes it a great value for the price. I also appreciate that it’s made with natural ingredients and doesn’t leave any residue or dryness like some commercial soaps. It’s gentle enough for the whole family, even for my kids with sensitive skin. After 5 years, we’re still just as obsessed with it as we were the first time we tried it. This soap is a must-have in our household, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, artisanal soap that pampers your skin!

This has a great lather and is very moisturizing with natural ingredients that don’t break out my sensitive skin or cause any irritation no matter where I use it! I’ve even tried it as a face wash and have had no breakouts. Great value for the size bar that lasts a long time.

This soap smells great, looks expensive, cleans well, and it seems like it’s going to last a looooong time — MUCH longer than your typical bar soap. I also like that it’s a fairly natural soap and that it only leaves a faint scent on my skin rather than making me smell like a perfume bottle. Frankly I could do without the exfoliating element as it is quite scratchy and not really necessary at least for me, but the main reason I subtracted a star is that although my skin feels clean after a shower it also feels a bit rubbery that is not my personal preference. I feel like there’s either some slight residue being left on my skin or that it could be drying it out a bit. I much prefer the way my skin feels after using Dove soap where my skin just feels like skin after using it, but again that’s my personal preference. Other than that, this soap is very nice and certainly worth a try especially if you like the smell of lavender.

This was the first luxury soap I ever purchased. My wife picks up nice soaps when she finds them at Marshals and Home Goods, which is what prompted me to search for a really nice soap. She had picked up a milk bar soap that I loved to shower with, however my wife did not recall the brands, nor did the store have it in stock when we went back. It does not matter anymore though because I found Pre De Province. I never realized taking a shower could be so enjoyable by merely changing to a luxury soap. The lavender was a terrific choice to start with but I plan to mix it up on future orders to try out other great scents. By the way, in case any men are reading this and wonder why I am so interested in fine soaps, it is primarily due to my recent switch to wet shaving with a double edge safety razor, badger brush, and artisan soaps. I never knew shaving could be so much fun. I now consider shaving to be a hobby that I look forward to every time. I found some very nice artisan soaps, and large company soaps as well, and the scents and luxurious lathering abilities prompted me to search for luxury bar soaps for the shower as well. The milk soap my wife bought was my first experience with a really good soap, and it reminded me to search for more, but the wet shaving truly changed my life with regard to body soaps and shaving soaps.

My guess is they made this with pure homemade artisanal essential oils, or I don't know how else they got the fascinating, marvelous, and consolidating smell. It has a perfect texture finish, too. I rub my face with it and smell the foam out of it because it takes me to the most beautiful lavender garden (I am extremely susceptible to smells), trust my sensitive nose, and if you love lavender, get this product!

Great scented soap-love it. It not only scents your hands but also the entire bathroom. I do however find the size to be a bit off-putting (3 inch, by 4 inch, by 1 inch thick). I bought a bigger soap dish and all is well. You definitely get your money's worth here.

I love this Lavender French soap; the scent is true lavender, the crushed lavender flowers are aromatic and there's an abundance of them throughout the bar. I've read some reviews that people don't like the roughness of the soap against their skin - it's fantastic for exfoliation! After a shower using this soap my skin is unbelievably soft and smooth, thanks to the crushed lavender flowers. The fragrance is calming and the bar lasts a long time (mine lasts about 4-6 months). Exactly the same product I used to purchase when travelling to France. Highly recommend.

This is a really nice shower soap. The soap offers a full lavender smell. The lavender flowers embedded in the bar make a nice exfoliant. The exfolliation properties do not scratch the skin as in some other lavender soaps I have used. The soap lathers nicely creating a soapy mounds of suds. One thing to note on this soap bar is that it's huge. I had to cut it into 3 bars to properly fit my hand in the shower.

This soap is so smooth and just a little bit goes a long way. I will never use another soap. In the past I used some organic soaps including liquid soaps. None compare to this soap from France.

The lavender scent could be just a little stronger, but is nevertheless lovely. The cost of the soap itself is good value for money, as these soaps last for a long time, but the shipping was almost as much as the item shipped, which puts a wee damper on things.

Just like I use to remember. Nice and soft.
