Elegant performance
The pen has a nice premium finish and it is thinner than similar options. It is not too heavy or too light. The pen on the left (uni jetstream) has 3 colors and for comparison the Bic on the right has 3 colors and a pencil (0.7 mm). Some might consider the glossy finish a problem, because it can become slippery, but it does give it an upscale look. To change the different options (black, red and pencil) you cycle the pen, instead of clicking. The mechanism feels solid and it clicks in place. There is a small eraser in the top and a small red band in the tip of the red pen. Overall I think that for under $10 the features and specially the thin looks make this a great multipen.

Super classy - one of the nicest multi-function pens out there.
Really nice combo! Pentel makes good products, but this one is classy, even for them. Good combination of tips, feels great in the hand, has a nice big eraser (under a cap) and even looks good just laying on the table. I sort of like/dislike the continuous cycle through tips. I'm used to every other pen where it clicks in one direction, and back in the other. This one just continues to go around, which means finding the right tip by feel is not easy. Fortunately, their red pen tip has a red band around it. Other than cost (a bit pricey), this is an awesome pen. Update: love this pen/pencil more every day. I now like the continuous cycle (don't have to guess which way to turn), and it is one of the nicer, classier pens on the market. Works awesomely, as I'd expect any Pentel to do. I'm buying two more today. :) Second update: I still really love these. I have several now, and get compliments all the time on how classy they look. I think these are one of the better multi-purpose pens on the market. Now, that being said, I dropped mine on the hard cement floor yesterday and noticed that all of a sudden, my black ink wasn't flowing so well. In fact, it became almost unusable within a half hour. I figured I had just coincidentally run out of ink. After trying to find refills here (they're about four bucks each - ouch!), I found other people had commented that their ink had stopped flowing after being dropped (all black, weirdly). I'm guessing that the Vicuna "ball" inside the ink tube gets dislodged and the ink doesn't flow well. I may try slapping it around a bit (that's always the solution when something doesn't work -- whack it!), but I've ordered a couple refills just in case. This is the ONLY bad thing I've noticed about this pen. If it's a trend, then perhaps this is a manufacturing defect. I'm still likely to keep buying these, though, because they're better than all the competition. Write on! :)

The one
I have been looking for a pen like this. I got it for my wife. Apparently finding a pen that is .5 and works well with Hobonichi planner paper, doesn’t bleed AND has two inks and is a pencil too. Wife loves it. If you’re looking for a good hobonichi pen, this is the one. Feels durable in hand and switching between inks and pencil is nice.

Overall a worthy contender-- especially at $10. Keep eraser cap tightly screwed in place!
Very nice pen. Replacing a Cross Tech 4 the pocket clip of which became so loose as to make it impossible to secure it safely in a shirt pocket. The Vicuna is a bit bulkier than the Cross, and doesn't rest as comfortably in the hand, but is reasonably comfortable. The finish is very good, but, again, not quite as nice as the Cross. But, the Cross, in my experience, develops this problem I've mentioned with the pocket clip losing its grip. Then you lose the pen. Cross requires $10 plus your shipping expense to repair the pen, so, in the end not so practical. Enter the Vicuna. With the caveats mentioned, it is still a worthwhile contender for those seeking a highly usable multi-function pen, and for the price of the repair on the Cross, I think the Vicuna is quite a fair solution. Crosses are made in China these days and the quality that was once their hallmark simply isn't there anymore. Pity. One other point to make, and then I'll release you to continue shopping: The end cap that covers the eraser threads on and can become loose, resulting in loss of the cap. This is a weakness shared with the Cross Tech 4. If you are attentive to thread the cap down firmly after using the eraser, you'll likely be fine, but I somehow managed to lose mine. Wrote to Pentel to request buying a replacement and a spare or two in case it happens again that I lose the cap.

Two in One!
I love that this is a pen and pencil in one tool! It writes beautifully and fits in the zippered pocket of my handbag. The cost was another determining factor for my purchase. I have left way too many Cross pens at the counter of retail stores. Ugh! This writing implement is sleek and very attractive.

Good value for the functionality
Nice multi-function pen. It writes, functions and feels like the Cross Tech3+ pen at a much more affordable price point.

このカラーがよくて購入しました。書きやすさはあるものの、書く時にノートにペン先が当たる時にグニャっと入る感じがして、それがマイナスポイントでした。

This is second time that I bought this pen after using earlier similar pen for more than 4 years. It's very good quality multifunction pen. Serves all your requirements of pencil, red and blue/black refill. Mechanism gor changing between Refills and pencil is very smooth and long lasting. Refills are easily available in Goa and costs only Rs. 10 per piece. I would recommend this to all who are very particular about their pens being a personal belonging just like a mobile or watch etc.

En foto parece un bolígrafo más “serio” de lo que es en realidad. Plástico y acabados poco cuidados, parece más apropiado para regalar con publicidad.

Just got it but seems to work smoothly and writes well. Just wish that it came with blue ink instead of black.
