BOSCH SP0F000012 Copper Tubing Installation Kit

I was needing a new line to run to a old Stuart Warner gauge and this was just what I was looking for. Really didn't want to use the cheap plastic line for a fresh engine rebuild, heard too many horror stories about those. Item was great, the box that it came in not so much. Look like it may have gotten run over or something.

Use this and not the plastic tube originally supplied. My plastic tube started leaking. This copper tube did the trick.

Super nice old school oil sender copper tubing g kit. Comes with everything you need to install a sensing line in a 1/4 or 3/8 npt hole. Includes two ferries and compression nuts and adapter to pressure gage.

The Bosch gague set I bought had plastic tubing. THis kit provided the copper tube and a good assortment of fittings to solve my installation problems. It's not cheap but did the job.

I have had the plastic tubing fail on my fuel pressure gauge which sprayed my engine compartment with diesel. I was concerned with the copper hardening with vibration so I slid a 1/4" tubing over the outside to dampen movement. Good so far.

Nicely annealed fine copper tubing. Decent fittings. Did the job of bringing the line into the car from the block fitting the oil pressure gauge. Note; Copper can be better than nylon, but be very cautious of the routing and the handling of it. Include at least two loops outside the firewall before it enters. Any prolonged motion and focused bending over time with engine motion...the line breaks and at best you have a mess, at worst, you loose an engine.

Never use the nylon lines provided unless you like having you car or truck burn to the ground. This kit worked perfect with the Bosch gauges I bought on my 78 F250 with a 400m.
