DEADPOOL’S SECRETSECRET WARSWho doesn’t love Deadpool and who doesn’t love when he helped save everyone in the original “Secret Wars”? Wait you didn’t know he was there, well neither do the heroes that were there with him. This is the telling of one man’s journey to save the Marvel Universe and of course not get credit for it. This story takes place during the original “Secret Wars” but is a part of the “Warzones” line from the latest “Secret Wars”.The Beyonder has taken Earth’s greatest heroes and villains and decided to pit them against each other on the Battleworld planet to see who the greatest is. The winner would be granted whatever their heart desires. Of course the heroes don’t want that, well except for Deadpool. He may not fit in as much as Cap or Spidey but he is put with the heroes none the less. It is here that he meets someone that actually may love him and may change this man for the better.The writer and artists did an amazing job matching the original story and panels with this new one about Deadpool. This is one of the funniest stories that Deadpool has been a part of as that forth wall breaking and juvenile delinquent humor is all over this book. I did like the heart that they added to this book although I won’t spoil anything for you here. Also it should be added that they added the first issue of the original to this TPB for us all, great addition for those who have not read it. Although you should read it before going into this one.

The Secret Wars was one of Marvel’s many big spectaculars featuring some of the company’s biggest heroes pitted in a giant battle in outer space. The original was published in 1984. This was a short series that threw Deadpool into the mix.The original plot was a group of the Earth’s mightiest heroes and villains were swooped up, taken to another planet by the Beyonder to fight it out. The comedy in this Deadpool series comes from Pool being mixed in with the heroes who have no idea who he is and don’t share his views on murder. During the battle Deadpool gets a makeover, makes a move, and even gets a conscience.There are two extras at the end as well. First, Deadpool gets thrown into the Contest of Champions which was another time Earth’s heroes got sucked up into space into a big fight. Deadpool’s version is a bit different as it includes all the outcasts and D rate heroes. Finally, the first issue of the original Secret Wars finishes things off.Irreverent as ever, another good addition to the Deadpool mini-series.

Not the greatest storytelling in the world, but this comic is really great. It's full of great comedy and action. I've read most of the Deadpool comics, and this is one of the TPBs I recommend the most to others interested in Deadpool. This is definitely a must-have for Deadpool fans.

It's deadpool. I loved the secret wars storyline and adding this onto it was great. It was set in the OLD secret wars (1980s) and everything was done in that style. Deadpool was still hilarious and the comic looks awesome. Getting comics from Amazon is a dream because you can stock up without breaking the bank. Love the value and quality.

I bought this because of Deadpool and I wish I hadn't. It's just not good. It's not that funny. It's not that memorable. It's meh.

Had a lot of fun reading this collection of issues, it was good and enjoyed seeing Deadpools spin on Secret Wars.

I never read any of the Secret Wars, the old or new...... but this is one of the better Deadpool books out there. You need to check this out if you're wanting a short fun DP Book. No need to really worry about continuity its not hard to figure out

Excellent comic and condition as described.

I have read a few deadpool graphic novels and enjoyed most of them but this I found boring and forgettable and too much of deadpool forcing his deadpoolness to the reader. I will admit I read it over a longer period than intended but that's because I did not feel compelled to come back to it. I've rated it higher than I would normally but it might be better if I read it in one or two sittings like I normally would a book this size.

So,am liebsten würde ich zwei Bewertungen abgeben, weil ich zwischen 4 und 5Sternen geschwankt bin, habe mich daher einfach für die höhere Punktzahl entschieden.Wann sind 5 Sterne angemessen?- Wenn ihr Fans von Deadpool und seinen Sprüchen seid &- Wenn ihr die Original-Storys von Secret Wars gelesen habt.Ich persönlich habe die Secret Wars nicht gelesen (Shame on me!) daher war der Effekt bei mirnicht so krass. Der Effekt, der daher rührt, dass Deadpool eigentlich die ganze Zeit bei den SecretWars dabei war, warum er nirgendwo erwähnt wird. Ich weiß, dass man den Effekt auf jeden Fallerlebt, wenn man die original Secret Wars Geschichten gelesen hat, weil der erste Teil dieser Storysam Ende des Bands auftaucht, und ich mir dann dachte: Hammer, die haben das ja mega gemacht,das mit dem Deadpool hinterher einbauen :)4 Sterne waren daher zur Debatte gestanden, weil man zu dem Comic vielleicht wirklich die originaleGeschichte gelesen haben sollte, was ich ja auch nicht habe...Ich persönlich habe auch in diesem Band Deadpool zum ersten Mal ohne Verunstaltungen gesehen.Ich möchte jetzt nicht spoilern warum das so ist.Ein Extra, das bei der Beschreibung nicht auftaucht:Es gibt ein kleines Zusatzkapitel über Contest of the Champions in Deadpool-Edition.Dieses Kapitel ist absolut lustig und ein total cooler Zeitvertreib ;)

Deadpool is one of those comic books that every comic collector has in there collection. Because the story and artwork is there. And always enjoyable.
