I'll start by saying this speaker is unique, I would not pay retail for it, since the price drop it is worth every penny. I ordered 4 more for gifts. I think it sounds great, very similar to some Bose units, with that said it can have a bit of a boxy or canny sound to vocals while listening to SOME music. Adjusting the equalizer helped some but obviously did not take care of all of it. What is great is the 3D 360 sound, Unlike most 1,2,3 speaker units it is not directional and listening angles are not narrow. So it fills the room with music instead of beaming it to a sweet spot. It does not get exceptionally loud but gets more then adequate volume. I use it daily as I work around the house and like that I can hear it easily from any direction, room or 2 room filling sound. Now as a soundbar for TV, yes as others point out no remote, but you can control the volume from your TV, so while yes it would be a nice extra to have, it is not necessary. I personally have not used my real soundbar remote in months. It will not replace a surround sound system, it does as good of a job as most soundbars minus a subwoofer. Voices sounded fine, you can hear directional sounds, left to right, right to left. Bass is ok (could use more) but not going to shake you obviously. Overall it is nice in that it is portable, small, bluetooth or wired, although bluetooth range seems to be a bit lacking compared to some of my other well known bluetooth speakers. With one of my phones pairing with NFC seemed problematic, I laid my phone on top of the speaker and the phone locked, I had to hover the phone just above it. Of course this could be the phone and not the speaker. Could it be better, sure, but so could almost everything else, nothing is perfect but for the current price at the time of this review it's a great speaker but it won't be for the people who are not able to take the change of non direction speaker throwing sound in your face or cranking it to ear bursting limits.

Sound quality is there for sure but no way to adjust EQ and doesn’t get very loud. For something claiming to be a “theatre box” it certainly doesn’t do a whole lot for a theatre setting experience..... so misleading for sure. Also, for price, a good option for a small room and simulated surround sound. Low to medium volume sound it’s quality.

IMPORTANT! Make sure you fully charge this unit before use or the audio quality will suffer! Having LEARNED that by NOT reading the directions fully, I am quite impressed with the audio quality of this speaker. Considering it's portable size, it does indeed sound much better than the audio you would get from a high performance bluetooth speaker. No, this is not the experience you would get from a 5.1 system, but is a great entry and will not disappoint. Wish it came with a remote which would have upped this review to 5 stars.

The speaker is well BUILT, but it doesn't sound like a 4.1 system because there is no sound coming from the front grill, only both sides and rear. It's sounds like there is no front speakers BUILT in or maybe because of the discounted price, the system was modified or something. Speaker has no sound memory, because everytime when connected volume will reset to normal like 50% and the sound is very decent, I would say not bad but it could have been better if it's actually a 4.1 system and two tweeter BUILT in, stereo connect with more speaker and a power bank!

If I had paid $250-$300 on Kickstarter I would not rate it 5 stars.....but its faults are tiny compared to benefits at under $30. These work great if you have a TV with variable Left/Right audio output jacks (or a 3.5mm headphone jack). Just connect the jack to the AUX input on the back, crank the volume button on the top up a few steps (it has 25 total steps and always resets to 5 when it starts up). Then you can control the volume totally from your TV remote. I think a lot of cable boxes have these same connections on the back. Easily fills a medium/small room with loud TV sound. Bluetooth works great. Rocket ship swoosh noises when you power up or power down. Candy Apple Red, what's not to like at the current price.

I wrote to ACEMILE to see what is going on. Their prices have been fluctuating. I bought three of these speakers before they returned to their normal high price. I purchased my first ACEMILE speaker on sale at Woot. I think I paid $175.00. I used it for a while as my main audio system until I was able to afford a 5.1 system. I combined the Theater Box with a low-cost Sony subwoofer and got very good results. Once I replaced the ACEMILE with the 5.1 system, I found a new use. I used it outside for movies. I thought that if Acemile had thought about this application they probably would have had a pretty good business. There simply is no better solution for outside movies than the Acemile Theater box. It is absolutely amazing how well it works for this purpose. Many have complained about the Acemile with music. I think that the issue is that the Acemile Theater box is not a near field speaker. It needs to have distance to do its magic. It also needs to be played relatively loud. I find that six feet is about right for the distance from the listener. I sort of liken it to 3D. The further you are away from the screen, the more dramatic the 3D effect is. If the price dips again, I might pick up a few more but I think I am set with four of them for now..

This speaker is very high quality, even the packaging is very nice. Best purchase for the money that I have made on Amazon in the past year. Depending on the source the 3D sound can be amazing or unnoticeable. Battery life seems to hold up to the specs. Bluetooth pairs quick and easy. Speaker has a nice finish and a quality weight to it. The red looks fantastic.
