Psychodynamic Therapy Techniques: A Guide to Expressive and Supportive Interventions

The most practical psychodynamic book I've ever read!
After reading most psychodynamically-oriented books I'm left asking "Ok, that makes perfect sense, but ... how do you actually do that in session?" This book is an incredible exception. By the end of each chapter you will have learned two or three practical techniques you can put to use the next day. I think this new addition to the literature will become a must-have resource for anyone conducting or learning psychodynamic therapy: experienced practitioners, graduate students, externs and interns alike. An excellent, important book
This book represents some of the best of today's clinical literature. It is thoughtful, practical, and encourages deeper understandings of the patient. I believe it will be useful to therapists of all backgrounds and orientations, particularly those who are interested in more meaningful ways to practice and conduct treatment.
