different
At first I thought the oil may have been rancid, however I believe this is just because I am not used to it.

Tastes pretty good, mixed feelings
Not a truffle oil officianado but when you advertise “Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Summer Truffle Pieces”, i expect at least two pieces to qualify that statement. Seems more infused with artificial flavor than natural. The whole “pieces” part seems gimmicky having received my bottle. Some reviews call this misleading, etc. It does have excellent flavor but for $15, I want multiple pieces in my “infused” olive oil. I also am not too keen on there being artificial truffle flavor used more so than flavor from the actual truffles, but it tastes pretty dang good. And it is not a big bottle so read carefully. If you don’t mind spending $15 on a large airplane bottle of truffle flavored oil, than you’d probably enjoy this.

Deliciously Rich Flavor
This Roland Foods Black Truffle Oil adds a luxurious depth to my dishes. The rich, earthy flavor enhances everything from pasta to salads, and the 3.4 oz bottle is the perfect size for regular use. Highly recommend for any truffle lover!

I bought this brand of truffle oil because I had ...
I bought this brand of truffle oil because I had seen it being used to make truffle fries that smelled absolutely delicious at an outdoor foodie market in Williamsburg, Brooklyn called Smorgasburg. I figured that if they were using, it was the right brand and type to buy. It is an expensive sort of product that is actually frequently a made from a petroleum base and mixed with olive oil. I am not really sure which this is, whether it is the "real deal" or not, but it doesn't seem to be. I am not a huge fan of the way things have come out the couple of times that I have used it. Perhaps black truffle wasn't the right move? Anyway, carefully scrutinize the recipes that line up with your plans and see if you really want (a) black truffle oil vs. white truffle oil and (b) truly authentic truffle flavoring vs. largely synthetically flavored oil.

Good stuff
I love truffle oil. As most of us know, finding a good one can be a little tricky. I'll find one I like and then over time they seem to have less flavor as I re-order more. I hope that won't happen here, and so far, so good. There is plenty of true truffle flavor in this oil and it makes a great addition to pasta, etc. And it seems like a great value at Amazon's current price of well under $15.Recommended!!!
