It's a heavy snowflake that projects snowflakes. It's covered in glitter so as I mostly expected it drops it everywhere when handled. A better adhesive or sealant coat would have helped but that would likely have doubled the cost. I plugged it in, it lit up the ceiling with snowflakes, it rotated, it's sparkly, and it's the size listed. Do make sure your tree can handle that size because with the projector in the middle and a fairly durable feeling frame it is not a very light tree topper. A topper support might be needed. If your tree is sturdy, thick, and tall you will not get much area of projection without high ceilings. Even sitting on my desk it didn't make all that big of a snowflake circle and it will spread less the closer it is to the ceiling. Tilting it would project more snowflakes. They just wouldn't be centered over the tree if that's your goal. I was trying to make a short, wide evergreen have a more interesting top so this will sit low and on a stake through the middle of the tree. The size goes fine with the width of the live spruce tree we have. The young tree just isn't a sharply tapered pyramid to have a matching height. Using a larger tree topper that also projects upward seemed a good way to have it use more vertical space.

This is definitely worth the money. Looks awesome on the tree, and shines snow flakes on the ceiling.

The star is not white like the photo. It is actually a metallic gray or silverish color. Was hoping for a white one to go on my white tree. The snowflake projection is fun to look at. The unit is rather ugly from a side view. Might need to spray paint it to make it look like the photo and look better on the tree. The price wasn't so bad, but now I've got to buy spray paint.

I have been looking for the perfect topper for my hanging tree. The base is perfect to wrap the tip of the tree around and it hangs securely and projects snowflakes over the presents. It’s so lovely.
