Calligraphy Paper - Practice Book: 60 Lightly Ruled Sheets in 3:2:3 Ratio with 55 Degrees Slant Lines for Hand Lettering, Spencerian, Copperplate, Cursive and Modern Calligraphy

This is great I have just started learning Calligraphy and couldn’t work out the slant, but this paper has the slant guide lines that really help

There are two major issues with this book that doesn't make it suitable for calligraphy:- the paper: it doesnt work with *calligraphy ink*, the ink bleeds and doesn't keep the integrity of the letters and bleeds through the pages. You can use standard pens and ink but that defeats the purpose of practicing calligraphy with calligraphy pens- the grids: the description says the grid ratio is 3:2:3 but it is 2:3 i.e. there is a ascender/descender (a/d) line missing. ever X line (the base line) has to have a A and a D line (a & d) so that you can practice all the letters. The lines should be a, x, d, a, x, d, a, x, d etc but it's not it is X,d,X,d,X,d etc so the letters overlapIf you are serious about practicing a craft this book is not suitable.

As a guide to calligraphy the paper in theory is very good. However when trying to use nib and ink it bleeds dreadfully, through 2 or 3 pages and the lettering spreads out like using blotting paper.I despair at trying to buy decent practice paper, having bought 3 types now and all poor.

Works better as blotting paper. Significant bleed from the ink. Very disappointing.

The lines that are there, are easy to use, however further lines would make it even more helpful to the absolute beginner like me.After less than a page, I have decided that calligraphy and I should part ways on good terms, as I just don't seem to have the hand control for. Probably down to my age lol.

Great quality and value for money. Love this for practicing both my brush calligraphy and my Italics and French Ronde etc. Pens don't bleed on paper, definitely buying another one when I need it.

The paper was bound very nicely. The lines are good. However, unfortunately ,it is not suitable to use with ink pen. The paper feathers as in the picture. It is a shame. I ordered this to use with my dip ink pen.

As already mentioned by others the paper is bleeding excessively making any calligraphy impossible. The ink even stains through the page leaving traces on the next page. The title “Calligraphy paper” is a complete joke!

It's absolutely terrible for any liquid ink. Might be alright for gel pens, but I bought it for fountain pens, and it's definitely not suitable
